“Clean And Quiet”
Reviewed 2/10/2024
Can’t beat the price of only three dollars for seniors with an inter-agency pass. All sites have a shade covering over the tables. Bathrooms are clean and have composting toilets, no smell. Only about 50% occupied on a Saturday in February.

You have to drive down a one mile dirt road that is well-groomed, and there is no water view because the Lake level is so low. Site was almost level, picnic table was large and clean and on a concrete pad with a large cover. Compost toilet was very clean, although no air and stuffy, but no smell.

Last time they we barely squeezed into a site at Governors Landing. Here no problem. Lots of space between sites. All sites have ramadas, grills, concrete tables and pads. Bonus today: no one else here! $3 with senior card!
Looks like lots to explore around Amistad, but we are on a time crunch to travel on, otherwise we’d hang a week. Next time.

Pit toilets like new-very clean. Rangers check area daily. Close, but not right on top of other campers. Easy to pay electronic reservation system on site-pay with card. Road in well maintained-no problem driving in at all in our 40ft skoolie. Quiet nights with beautiful views! Great stop on our way to Big Bend.

Unfortunately during our stay, it was windy, rainy, and then an ice storm hit. Site pads weren't really clear, so we just pulled up alongside to the sheltered picnic table. Notes:
- No camp host, but the ranger came through.
- VTs clean and not smelly; ranger didn't replenish TP. Multiple VTs throughout campground.
- Sites are gravel/dirt, level and nicely spaced apart. In full sun.
- Lot of dog poop in some sites. (I did some cleanup.)
- Generators were in use by other campers, one on each side of us.
- Saw what looked like a dump station on Diablo East Rd.
- Had 4-5 bars on Visible.

Nice central location. There are a lot of spaces, the road is dirt to get in but it is well maintained. Hardly anyone here during our stay. The park ranger was very friendly. This a dry camping spot so come prepared.

I spent 3 nights at San Pedro. I was the only camper in the campground for two of the nights. One tent camper showed up for the third night. Easy access off of US 90. All sites are level and most have a metal cover with concrete tables. The park is patrolled by friendly Park Rangers. The grounds are well kept and the composting toilets are very clean and no odor. Fairly close to shopping and gas. No water, electricity or sewer disposal. Visited Del Rio and Seminole Canyon SP while there. I was very pleased. Just a little noise from traffic on US90 but not so loud as to be bothersome.

Fits all rig sizes with plenty of flat space! This is the largest campground in Amistad and no worries about rig size here! Although there are no water views, it is a convenient location to Del Rio. Coming from spur 454, the narrow gravel road looks ominous for big rigs, but it’s fine. Pull down the gravel road and there’s plenty of space to loop through the campground to find a spot! There are at least 4-5 pit toilets and a trash bin for every couple sites.
