Is there a dump station since some of the sites do not have sewer hookup?

Staff are all very nice. Huge park. Lots of trees (groomed) and grass. Pool and little lake are lovely. Full amenities plus some. They texted everyone the afternoon before we expected severe weather advising where to go in case of tornadoes (bathrooms). Fairly easy jaunt to Alamo and Riverwalk.

Huge park, lots of shade trees, full service amenities...trash pick up at your site, lovely view of a fish stocked pond, pool, Cafe, TV lounge, lots of grass. Looks like most sites have brick patios, fire ring. Level with gravel for RVs.

Alamo KOA exceeded our expectations. From their checkin service to their bathrooms and cafe, everything was expertly run, clean and safe. They make sure to apprise you daily of what is scheduled that day. Their laundry room is spotless and their bathrooms cleaned throughout the day. The location is perfect to visit the city and being next to the Salado Creek Greenway is a bonus for cyclists and dog walkers. Another side of the park borders a municipal Golf course that boasts the longest drive in Texas. If you want to catch a Spurs game, you can walk from the camp via the greenway to the Frost Bank Center. This camp is now a favorite’s of ours and we will go back!

The Koa Alamo campground is all you want. Well run, quiet, restrooms super clean, well located with bus station in front of the campground to facilitate access downtown. Don't look further.

You will not regret staying here for close proximity to Alamo, San Antonio Missions National Historic Park and Riverwalk, with 10-15 drive by car or buy pass to ride city bus as there is a stop right at the KOA, by bus about 25 minutes. We will be back.

The campground was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Since I drive a Class C without a tow, I didn't want to drive downtown. There is a public bus stop in front of the campground which worked out well. They have a little cafe and Hunts Pizza available.

We are mostly state/national park campers - we have a small truck camper and like to be out in the woods or desert. But every once in a while we need to hit the big city for errands, fun, friends, and laundry, and city KOAs are great. This one is the best! Closely spaced sites, yes, but level and with full hook ups, great facilities, right on a bike path for long walks, and an extremely well-run operation. There was live music at the cafe (and dinner offerings!) the night we were there, first time I haven't had to cook in weeks. We met lots of nice people that evening and the next morning when we had breakfast there. Our camping neighbors were all friendly and outgoing, too. I appreciate that they check dog breed, aggressiveness, etc. when folks are coming with pets (we've had campground dog attacks happen to us, and it's terrifying). Park wifi was, as it so often is, slow because of lots of users, but we got the emails we needed. The park is close to DT San Antonio for touristing (that also is going to bring some noise with it, full disclosure), and the staff were even great about letting our friend come visit us.
Overall 5 stars and a plan to revisit.
