We really enjoyed our stay at Sage Creek. Getting in and out was awful because the road had excavator tracks and it shook us everywhere and made it hard to tow the trailer (20ft, high clearance).
There are a bunch of sites around a ring you pull up to sideways. They are pretty close together and there is absolutely no privacy, so be prepared for that.
Off to the side past the first restroom, there are three sites by the horse ties. They have a bit more privacy and we lucked out by snagging the last one of these sites.
There are no amenities like electric or running water but there are two very clean restrooms.
Bison roam the campground and there are loads of coyotes and prairie dogs in the area. Be cautious of leaving things out. The bison use the camp site marker poles as scratching posts.
We loved our night here. It was amazing. The -1 star is for the road. Everything else was great.

This place is great. Bring leveling blocks, as most of the sites are not level. Everyone was very friendly. The maximum trailer size is 18', unless it's a horse trailer. Toilets were extremely clean. The main road coming in has been paved except a little over a mile of gravel road at the end. We will absolutely stay again.

Great place to camp, lots of space but most of the spots fill up around sunset. No water but toilets. It was quiet and protected from the wind. Woke up to a bison on the other side of the river, best campground I’ve been to.

This has been one of my favorite camping spots yet. The Bison and Prairie dogs are super chill and don't really bother anyone other than standing in the middle of the road sometimes. Very clean pit toilet and nice and quiet even with lots of campers there. Definitely arrive early to make sure you get a good spot.

A nice small camground around a center green area. Spots aren’t very level but it was manageable for a night. Pit toilets were clean and stocked. I got 2 bars of Verizon with my cell booster.

The campground set up is nothing to write home about. A trek down several miles of wide well maintained gravel road. Fairly closely sited picnic tables, and except for one spot you have to park on the loop gravel road rather than into a site, and even though we're pretty sloppy about leveling our truckcamper, we did have to put in some work to get it decently level. No fires allowed. But oh my goodness, the views of sunrise and moonrise will blow your mind, and then a few bison wander through the middle of the campground, and then you find yourself chatting with the prairie dogs right next to your picnic table, and then a small pack of coyotes comes and yips for a while right outside the campground loop. Could not ask for a more magical experience, and I'd definitely go back.
No water, but you can fill up at the Cedar Creek Group Campground/Dump Site. Vault toilets open all year, very clean. A ranger came through in the evening and nicely asked a few folks to reposition vehicles and stuff. Almost everyone took off at or before sunrise to go explore or move on.

Unfortunately campers have no etiquette and respect for others (everywhere you go really). I was here on a Friday night so I’m sure that contributed to how busy it was. Overall good experience. Lots of wildlife - prairie dogs, bison, coyotes. Great stargazing location and lots of photo ops!

“No service so i couldnt stay but cute spot”
noted 5/17/2023
This was such a nice camping area and i wish i could've stayed but unfortunately there was zero at&t service which i need for work. Spots were kinda close together but each spot had a picnic table and theres a nice clean pit toilet you can walk to. There were also praire dogs and bison around which were so cute!
