“Beautiful Campground ”

Overall Rating
We booked this last minute on our way home from Arkansas to Iowa. Was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful lake and nice quiet campground. Big lot with a very nice set up. Picnic table, grill, flat top grill and fire pit. Water and electric hookup. We has site 59 and it was an end site next to the beach. Would stay again.

Rocky Point is an older park with some partially shaded and some open sites. Many of the sites have views of the lake. Sites 1-32 are scattered around a hill with those closer to the water having fewer trees. The bathhouse for these sites is very old with low shower heads and stained steel toilets. Rocky Point is an older park with some partially shaded and some open sites. Many of the sites have views of the lake. Sites 1-32 are scattered around a hill with those closer to the water having fewer trees. The bathhouse for these sites is very old with low shower heads and stained steel toilets. The women's showers did not have any water. We opted not to use the older bathroom. The sites in this section often had sloping and, in some cases, crumbling asphalt, down to somewhat flat concrete pads. Water is shared between sites and can require a long hose. Bring a splitter. Sites 45-63 are in a line along an adjacent peninsula and have fewer trees, but a nice, new bathhouse. We were in site 32, partially shaded and with no other campsites on our picnic table side.

Not too bad of an experience, the lake is way down so it was difficult to launch/load the boat. Site 36 is built up on a hill, making it difficult to work around the outside of the camper without a step ladder. Not too bad of an experience, the lake is way down so it was difficult to launch/load the boat. Site 36 is built up on a hill, making it difficult to work around the outside of the camper without a step ladder. Also the site needed a string trimmer run around the large stump in the middle of the camping area. Site didn’t have a bunch of trash around it, electric was good but it shares water with another campsite. Also had another pad where we parked the boat.
