Overall Rating

This park is one of favorite spots to stay. Access to shopping is very close and convenient if you need supplies. Lots of shade and great choices near the water and off the water. Many activities in park: kayaking, fishing, archery range, frisbee golf and nice hikes. Good Wi-Fi. There are a few sites that are pretty close to each ... more

“Convenient to town, bike trails, cajun food, lake access, and SHADE!”

Overall Rating

We prefer the sites in the Rocky Ford loop since there are a lot more trees above each spot. Some spots are along the “river”, some more in the shady forested areas. Convenient to a local cajun restaurant (Little Grill) at the end of the Rocky Ford loop. The Riverpond area is much more congested and the spots are like parallel parking…... more

Currently (Summer 2020) the outlet works "tubes" road is closed for construction. There is only the "main" entrance on the east side of the dam.
