It's peaceful with beautiful view, we also loved hiking in the Kodachrome SP( 5min drive away) and their shower is top notch! no bugs, roads are reasonable (not too bumpy)

The area is easy to get too and has a number and variety of beautiful spots to camp. We were the only people there just before the 4th of July (2023) and selected the second spot on the right side of the road. Great view. Level ground for our large Springbar tent. Some trees for shade. But with the wet and late spring, the bugs were relentless. We couldn’t enjoy sitting outside of the tent and even ou dog was eaten alive by noseeums. We suspect it may have gotten better or may be getting better now as it gets hotter and dryer, but we packed up and left after one night. Moved to a much drier and more sparsely vegetative area near Four Corners. No bugs there and still some fine desert camping…

Access: By recently graded dirt road. As of March 30, the grading was pretty smooth and dry, but a long way in. We didn’t have any trouble towing our 21 ft trailer in with a Toyota truck in 2WD. It says impassable when wet, which would be true! If you go waaay back in it starts getting too rough for a trailer I think... Location: It’... more

Location: It’s kind of empty out here, so we went to the top of the hill and managed to snag a GORGEOUS site, with our windows facing all the mountains!!! Possibly best site I’ve ever had! Also it’s not far from Bryce and Grand Staircase - Escalante! Also the sites are FAR apart! Lots of individual space.
Cleanliness: This area seems basically unmaintained. There is dirt and what looks like a camper-made stone fire ring. Ours was really clean, most likely because the previous camper left it that way.
Site Quality: We happened to get the BEST VIEW as well as AT&T LTE and cell service!!! Some of the other sites may have no service or only 4G and no majestic view. But we would have been happy there too.
Noise: Very quiet. Although we are running our generator periodically in the morning and before 9 pm to charge up our computers as we are working from here.😬

I was very impressed that there was no trash or charcoal ash. So Big thanks to the previous camper. It’s important to me to leave it as I found it. I hope the next campers enjoy it as much as I did and help to keep it clean as well. The road in could be vary muddy during & after rain. Big rig accessible if you know what your doing.
