Very nice campsites with incredible views and privacy. Felt remote since there were trees and bushes around our site. Also quiet at night and during the day. Lovely area for hiking and mountain biking.

No cell coverage in the campground but there is wifi at the visitor center - we work on the road so got familiar with that parking lot. Showers in the hookup campsite are AMAZING. Seriously nice, rain showerheads, nice tile, huge. Quite a surprise. We used this as a jumping off point to Bryce Canyon, it's 30-45 min away; if you're going, go early. That place was crazy in late October. Dirt roads to the campground were fine, not great but not terrible.

Bryce View has no hookups, fairly level with pads that are dirt, table, firepit, pit toilets and some terracing. I was concerned about overall length, the reservation system seemed to suggest that no rigs over 20 feet could fit in these sites. After looking at the aerial view of site 51, I decided we would chance it when making reservations (we have a truck camper with a utility trailer at 42'). ALL sites can handle big rigs. We would have no problem taking our 38' 5th wheel into this area. In fact, we think all sites within Kodachrome State Park can accommodate our big rig.
The park is heavily used by day trippers, especially on the weekends. We waited until they all left before we did the hikes in the area. We decided to do laundry here. I vote this the best place for laundry with a view! We also played the challenging disc golf course located near the entrance. Restrooms over at Basin View were very nice with private, FREE showers. There is one dump station for the 3 campgrounds.

We stayed in the Bryce View campground which has no hookups. We prefer boondocking spots because they typically have more space between campsites, and this is true in Kodachrome. Bryce View Campground is down a short dirt road and most sites are pull-throughs. If you need to use a generator, they are only allowed between the hours of 12pm to 4pm. Bryce View had vaulted toilets, water, and a large trash bin. All sites had beautiful views but 52 and 56 appear to have the best. Our site was level and from what we could see most the other sites were equally level. Table and fire pits are available at all the sites. The max trailer length allowed is 20ft. Our trailer is 20ft and we had no issues maneuvering. The campground is quite and well maintained.
If you prefer hookups the Basin Campground has what you are looking for. However, the sites are much closer together. Be aware when we used the Dump site it was awfully close to some of the Basin Campsites.
The RV dump site has two stations and has potable and non-potable water. Showers and laundry facility are also available.

This place had such rave reviews, so we booked 2 nights in Bryce View, which was the only thing available. Our site was a fair distance from the vault restrooms. It was extremely hot, with no trees to speak of. They have a few spindly bushes, but nothing to shade you from the 100 degree heat. There were tons of little flies and gnats that swarmed around us. We unhooked the trailer and drove around the area to see if it was worth the hell hole that was our site and decided that it wasn't, so we hooked up the trailer and left. Honestly, I don't get what the big deal is about the view.
If you are tent camping and don't have little kids and you don't mind the heat or the bugs, it's probably a really awesome place at night, but other than that, it's totally not worth the extra drive out to the middle of nowhere.

It was very quiet and clean site. There is a nice hike to the main campground and to a couple box canyons. We had our dogs (one is 14) so we didnt hike the Panorama trail which I will be back to do.
It got pretty cold at night I think it was 29 degrees in April
There is ZERO cell coverage here
