We stayed three nights in nice paved site. Hiked to the waterfalls and checked out the area. There was zero cell service, but we had the parks WiFi in our campsite.

We stayed in site 42. Our truck camper was fairly level once we parked. We enjoyed the recessed area with the picnic table and fire pit. The bath house was clean. Wifi is available.

Pros: Very peaceful site even though the road was right behind us. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Short 15 minute drive to gorgeous waterfalls. The swimming beach is a 5 minute drive. Very friendly lady at the visitor center.
Cons: Camp host was not friendly even though he’s right next to us. Park rangers were not very social either. The site was not cleaned even though we arrived at check in time. Rusted tin can lid right in grass where you step out of the RV. Trash all in the fire ring and all through the site. No one enforcing dogs that weren’t on a leash. Neighbors small dog was attacked by a loose golden retriever.
I would stay here again just allow time to clean up when arriving.

We had a great time at the small state park. First time out with our new to us camper. Stayed in a “premium spot, so we had sewer onsite. Which was great for getting acquainted with the system since we are new RVers. Very quiet. Super playground.

We booked our spot prior to the pandemic and was part of the first phase of allowing campers back in (if you already had a reservation they would honor it, but no new reservations). We enjoyed the nearby waterfalls and hiking trails, but nearly nothing else was open around. So no distilleries or breweries to tour, etc. Lazy Daisy store just outside the park has local honey and jam, firewood, as well as an assortment of our nick-nacks; the owner is also very friendly, so w recommend being a patron of their little store. The host campers were also very friendly and help keep the grounds clean and tidy. A final note is we have Verizon and had 3 bar service that would make calls and use data, but family who arrived with their own camper and campspot (site 1) had T-Mobile and no signals at all. The campground WiFi is superb though. The only thing we didn't care for is the number of people who just cruise through the park; meaning the cars that didn't belong to campers would just steadily drive through, loop around, just site seeing over the weekend (didn't occur on the weekdays).

This was our first time here. The park is well kept, and the staff is great. Our site, #28, was close to the large playground area, so the kids loved it. The bath house was well kept and always clean. Campground was also much quieter than I expected. No problems with water or power on the site. Pad was decently level, but I wish the small tree wasn’t so close to the pad. Just couldn’t roll the awning out all the way. Dump station has 2 lanes, each with a hose. There’s two dumpsters there as well. From what I could tell, these were the only 2 dumpsters for the park, so they were fairly full by Sunday morning when we headed back south. If you are planning to walk down to the larger falls, wear shoes you don’t mind getting soaked. It looks about impossible to not get your shoes wet getting down there.

Some of the sites have the table down a few steps, and some sites will be an uphill back in, so do your homework when picking. Website had great pics and descriptions. Spotless campground and bathrooms with showers. Save some time to explore the park and see the falls. Rather unique. Would stay again.

We did get the last site they had. So check ahead for availability if possible. We were on a spur of the moment kinda thing.
Did some hiking and took plenty of pictures of the nearby waterfalls. Was very peaceful place to stay.
