“Great few days to relax by the river.”

This was our first experience trailering. Betty, who works there, was a doll and helped us figure a few things out while we were there. Thanks to her I could put the manual away. Thanks Betty!

The park is on a river. The sites on the river are fantastic! We stayed in site #25. We had water and sewer. We backed our toy hauler into the site and folded down the back. We fell asleep to the sound of the river. Amazing!

The sites are a bit smaller than advertised. Our site felt large because the spot next to us was vacant. If it was full our site would have felt snug. If you have an extra large rig I might double check with the office to see if you can get in and out easily.

There is a little general store with reasonable prices. There’s even a little coffee cart with almond and oat milk.

Ther tiniest town of Washington is a 3 minute walk away. Washington is a historic gold mining town. Not big, seriously like 5 buildings, but cute. It has a hotel/restaurant and a little market.

This seems to be a dirt bike and side by side destination. Most everyone here had some sort of outdoor vehicle. My husband was very excited about that.

There is a playground with swings and sandbox. There is also a course for RC cars. My son was disappointed we didn’t bring his RC car. If you have kids, or adults in your party who like rc’s be sure to bring them. The course has bridges and tunnels.

I would definitely be back!

Most camp sites were closed during the pandemic so we found this gem. It’s in the middle of nowhere and perfect for taking a break from the craziness. Restrooms were closed during our visit so we had to rent a class C RV from Cruise America to be able to camp here. We had campsite #24 which is right on the River and beautiful. The kids had fun jumping into the river and we walked up into the tiny old gold town of Washington, Ca. It’s a cute small town and if you blink while walking, you’ll miss it. Ha ha
We continued walking past the town and we noticed the river ran through the back side where we noticed a beach below as we walked a across the bridge. We spent two days at the beach with the kids and dog. I love that it was kid and dog friendly. If you have dirt bikes you’d love this spot. We did hear them leave in the mornings but other than that it wasn’t noisy.
The camp ground was easy to miniver and there’s a few spots for a class A RV. Full hook ups was a plus. It was the perfect getaway, easy, beautiful and everyone had a great time. Weekends are booked out during summer but easy to find a spot during the weekdays. We plan to return with our new purchase, 2003 Fleetwood Discovery in the fall.
No phone service which I enjoyed.
