Able to find a spot on a Friday night with no reservation. Hosts are doing a great job. Clean. Water available via spigot. Rvs at boat parking plus walk-in camping and some tent van sites.
Reservations can be had somewhere but generally there is an open spot in my experience. It’s pg&e property not calif state parks so. Less crowded
Fresh Aire Dad would stay here again

This campground is for tent or small trailers. Bigger Rv's can stay overnight at the lake parking lot. The camp host is locating on the right as you enter the lakeside parking lot. We stayed in #10 which was in the shade 90% of the day, but it has a small parking spot. I would check campsite photos.com to see the sites for yourself before you reserve a spot.
The lake is great but there is no trail to get around the lake, its all boulders & branches. See my picture & you'll see what i mean. Didn't even get a bite fishing from the shore but did see plenty of fishermen on boats.
You will also hear the occasional train passing by, the tracks are about a 1/4 mile away. I was able to make a call on verizon & was able to surf the web from our campsite. The trash bin is by the lake which is about a 15 minute walk , so we'd drive down our trash :~( I'd stay here again, nice but not over the top.
Festerhairball would stay here again

The campground is suited to very small rigs and trailers due to a narrow twisty road and trees growing close to the edge of the road. There were 3 RVs camping in the boat trailer parking area (in spite of signs that said no camping allowed) and there appeared to be a campground host here as well. I would check with the host before setting up here.
There are all sorts of day use, boat ramp and pet fees in addition to the campground rate - check attached photo.
