Original plan was for only one night, but after arriving I decided to extend my stay. My original site that I picked from the online pictures (#17) had an non functioning water. Original plan was for only one night, but after arriving I decided to extend my stay. My original site that I picked from the online pictures (#17) had an non functioning water. Spigot so the manager gave me list of alternate sites. I picked #2 after seeing the awesome trees that surrounded the site. Very level graveled site with nice view of the White River and FHU. In general, the campground is geared towards the SELF CONTAINED RV camper but does offer “dry camping” or “tent camping” at reduced pricing. There are two “porti potti’s” but no showers. WIFI was pretty good, better than expected but Verizon was lacking. The town of Meeker 3 miles away had all of the usual things plus a really nice grocery store and very new & efficient hospital. One other comment. Not being a resident of Colorado, I paid $36 for an “electric only site” plus $10 vehicle pass fee just the night before at a Colorado State Park, $46 dollars!!!! This makes the $50 FHU SITE A “REAL BARGAIN”!!!! HAPPY CAMPERS!!!

This is a small park right on the river. The sites are good sized, with lots of green grass and shade trees. The pads are gravel and level. There’s a small play area for kids. But that’s it. This is a small park right on the river. The sites are good sized, with lots of green grass and shade trees. The pads are gravel and level. There’s a small play area for kids.
But that’s it. The picnic tables are tired out and unlevel. The bathrooms consist of two poorly maintained porta-potties. There are no other amenities.
It’s a very pretty location with spacious campsites but I don’t think it justifies the $61 price.

This park has a lot of things going for it and great potential. The owners have only had it for not quite a year and they are trying hard to publicize it and get it upgraded. This park has a lot of things going for it and great potential. The owners have only had it for not quite a year and they are trying hard to publicize it and get it upgraded. Currently, the park is laid out nicely amongst tall trees and just outside of town so you have a bit of country feel. The spaces are very long in most cases and are well spaced so you have some room. All utilities were good and well placed. There is no TV signal due to not having cable and being remote from any major towns. Park Wi-Fi is very limited at best. We did have some success using a cellular modem/router (Solis) so we were able to connect and watch some TV through our Amazon Fire stick. Prices here are very reasonable and Amy and her husband, the hosts, are very nice person and they want you to be happy here.

This is the nicest place we have stayed. The pull through site was awesome. Lots of green space and trees between sites. Super friendly. We want to return and stay longer. We are 75 ft overall with our trailer

We just happened on this place with Campendium. Last minute reservation was good in early June. Spot with shady trees in a park with the roaring river right out front. Hosts are really nice. Little dance deck for the kids with little lights on it. Full hookup. Really well maintained and firewood supplied.
