The park is very rundown and nothing like the pictures on the website. While we were there no WiFi, the pool was closed for repair and the electric grid wasn’t able enough to run our 30 AMP trailer. Not air conditioning as the weather was pleasant but our coffee maker had trouble running if anything else at all was running. The bathrooms are overused as they have about 26 tent sites and about 15 cabins all using the same bathhouse. Line up to get a shower and towels strewn all over the floors. I would avoid this campground as this sites are very uneven, dead grass very hard to not trip in all of the holes. I was generous with 2 stars.

Grumpy people in the office, crappy unlevel sites, no cable, no WiFi, no fun. I recommend camping anywhere else but this park or Eureka

This was a last minute booking to escape the heatwave in central Oregon…decided to go up the coast instead.
The park is hard to find off US 101, hidden behind a lumber yard.
The management staff was pleasant, but the park itself is tired and depressing. Some long term residents and the majority of “guests” were loud and unruly.
The wifi was offline and so was our Verizon service….rolling power failures???
Just to be fair, I will acknowledge that the pool area seems to have been updated. The main building is going through some renovation…so they’re trying.
Will not stay there again.

The park overall is just okay. Sites are average gravel sites and bathrooms are average but not well ventilated. The long term campers constantly played music and were quite eerie constantly staring at short term campers. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Front office very helpful. Each site comes with a strip of grass, which was very dry. Level spots, easy to use hookups. They offer WiFi free for 3 days, a bit slow where we were located. Cable Tv was out of service.
The only reason we would not go again is because we want to explore another location ,not because of the park.

the back in spots seem to be mostly permanent residents and then on the other side of the park is pull throughs with everyone just visiting. Showers in the resident section have better water pressure than the ones by registration, but both were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful for suggesting things to do in the area.
Convenient location to Arcata and Eureka.

When arriving at Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Park it was noticeable that many campers here are full-time residents. The campground is behind some commercial buildings along PCH, a little hard to find. The campsites are nice, the campground clean with somewhat rustic pull troughs with grass. Full hookups were offered and it’s a stones-throw from the Pacific Ocean. Our site was 30 amp, they may have 50 also. If not it won't be long. A lot of investment seems to be going on here. They also have a few cabins to rent.
Close by are many destinations for a little sightseeing. The town of Eureka is nearby. Our visit included the historic Eureka Inn, the Woodland Harbor, historic Fort Humbolt and the Ingomar Private Club – Built 1885

I don't even know what to say, except pick somewhere else. Last summer we stayed for a few days. I reserved a few days for this summer because I didn’t learn my lesson the first time. Got the reservation confirmed by email- didn't notice my name was misspelled by one single letter- and stopped in to the office to inquire about paying early. It turned out they gave me a reservation under the wrong name and that I was actually, in fact, banned from the park. What??? They revealed that in their system I was banned due to "pet damages". My service dog did not cause any property damage and the cabin was left clean. I asked if there was any detail about these supposed damages and no, there were not. I asked if there was someone I could speak to as no one had ever contacted me about this issue. The larger blond woman said, "I am the only one" (that I could speak with) and added that I was also banned from shoreline park- which I had never been to. The owner is John C. The hold on my credit card is still there. It's only a few dollars but I'm going to cut my losses. Last time we stayed we were prohibited from flushing tp down the toilet and the bathrooms were not clean at all. The Wi-Fi never worked and the power went out preventing me from using my bipap- Also, the pool and playground areas were so closely monitored it was a bit uncomfortable being on camera and confronted about a minor rule infraction that was quickly righted- like I was being closely watched the whole time. Weird staff, pretty unfriendly. There are plenty of other friendlier and more accommodating beautiful cabins and resorts to choose from in Humboldt.
