There are many spots around Redinger Lake. There is a concrete slab where most of them park their vehicles no shade. We stayed near to the water and trees. It could get hot during summer. There are three pit toilets and well maintained. Access to this campsite is through winding, narrow single lane road for 10+ miles with slight grade. Few broken trees on the road and many blind curves. Many trails around, wild blossoms and great view during spring time. There is a boat launch near by the camp site. We mostly saw Kayak and Canoe in the lake. Expect locals pass through during day time.

This place is pretty great! There are quite a few spots right at the lake and then more if you search around the surrounding woods. There are three pit toilets that are maintained better than any I've ever seen (cleaned 4 times during our 14 day stay!). The dam is a hydrodam and it was fun for us all (we are an unschooling family) to experience it over the course of our stay. The lake is ice melt and is always very cold.
The road going through camp is actually a real road. The same locals came through on a very regular basis and it is a shorter cut to Yosemite, so we saw some other RV's passing through. The weekends were busier (a few cars coming by overnight and day visitors) but the weekdays were usually quiet (minus the locals coming through).
For supplies the nearest big town is Clovis (Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, etc.) . Auberry is very small and Prather just a bit bigger. Water in Prather at CVS. Propane in Prather too (about 40 minutes away).
The mountains are beautiful here. Lots of hiking to be done. There is a shooting range just nearby. A stray cow happened through camp on our final day.
It is a long way up a narrow, bumpy road. We saw some pretty big trailers up there and massive electric vehicles showed up one day, so it can probably be done but I'd suggest you check the video review below. We are 29 feet in length, towing with a mini-van and had no problem.

I get very little Verizon signal here. Only with booster do I get 4glte occasionally. In and out. Not sure how other reviews had such good reception.
The road in has incredible views, and the campsite is beautiful. If it had reliable Verizon signal so I could work and had a better road in this site would be A++. Downsides bring this down to average. No water or groceries for at least an hour from the site.

As others mention, the road in, while paved, is narrow, curvy and steep in places. Our 25' rig didn't have any trouble but I could see bigger rigs or long trailers might have a tougher time, especially on a couple of hairpin corners.
We parked up on the hill overlooking the dam. It's not hard-core off-road but I wouldn't bring a large standard RV up here - there was plenty of open camping next to the dam on the main road. Pit toilets were clean (save black water!).
Overall great place in the Sierra foothills!

Beautiful place once you get down there... but getting there was a task. We had to go 5 miles an hour... for 3 hours. Once you get on the road you cannot turn around. If you are towing something, detach it and drive it separately. Beautifully quite spot with lots of sun and water. We loved it here, and if we were driving something way smaller (26 feet would be perfect) then maybe...

The road down in narrow and winding but there are several pull out spots to get out of each others way. ( Don't go if narrow roads scare you) There are pit toilets that are clean (at least in the off season) I also see people camping here in tents. There is a small market in the town of North Fork, gas and an awesome Mexican restaurant.
