This is a great campground to stop off for the night as well as if you are looking for fewer activites and a little lower key. The facilities are nice and well maintained, clean and all were functioning properly when we were here. The water pressure is high (~80 psi) so use the pressure regulators or fill your tank and work off the p... more
This is a great campground to stop off for the night as well as if you are looking for fewer activites and a little lower key. The facilities are nice and well maintained, clean and all were functioning properly when we were here. The water pressure is high (~80 psi) so use the pressure regulators or fill your tank and work off the pump. WiFi was OK in the evenings but a little too saturated during the work day.

Raleigh Oaks is located literally just off of I-95, making it a great spot to stop into overnight for road weary RVers. The sites are a decent size and almost all pull-thru, with full hook ups. The location is near Smithfield so there is some shopping and places to eat but it's far from most of the attractions of Raleigh (it's closest ... more
Raleigh Oaks is located literally just off of I-95, making it a great spot to stop into overnight for road weary RVers. The sites are a decent size and almost all pull-thru, with full hook ups. The location is near Smithfield so there is some shopping and places to eat but it's far from most of the attractions of Raleigh (it's closest metro). The people are fantastic, and were beyond helpful, with everything from mail services to helping us find a RV repair service on site due to a problem with our awnings. Additionally the facilities themselves are kept clean, save the miniature golf which is somewhat unkept. They have added upgraded playgrounds recently, good for the kiddos and the pools are always well kept with a few games available.
Definitely a place we'd stay again for a short trip, especially traveling the east coast on I-95, but for longer stays be prepared to not have many scenic options close by.

Good, clean RV park with excellent amenities & full hook ups. We just needed a spot to dewinterize and get the lay of the land before we headed further south. The owners were present and we very kind & helpful. It was fun to check out the neighbouring towns too. Lots of in & out traffic so it was good watching all the different RVs... more
Good, clean RV park with excellent amenities & full hook ups. We just needed a spot to dewinterize and get the lay of the land before we headed further south. The owners were present and we very kind & helpful. It was fun to check out the neighbouring towns too. Lots of in & out traffic so it was good watching all the different RVs & license plates.
I think all the transient sites were pull-thrus. Individualized bathrooms with showers. Super clean. Wifi was spotty.
