The road leading up was fairly bumpy throughout, but nothing my SUV couldn't handle.
I was unbothered and did not here any cars at all, it was such a nice area for uninterrupted sleeping. Service is incredibly spotty (No youtube videos loaded), but it switched from one to two bars frequently in my location.
If you drive farther up a minute or so past the camping area you lose service completely.

This would be a tough spot for big rigs. We drove a couple miles back on the gravel road in a Jeep with tent top and stayed in an open spot on the bend. Beautiful area! Drive was worth it. Not a car or sound from other campers all night. Just the birds!

Definitely not for large rigs or trailers. The first 2 turnouts would be best overall, and might fit a small RV or shorter trailer. We pull a 25 ft trailer and ended up backing into what appeared to be a little used two track about 3/4 mile up the road and spending the night there with no problem. Also there’s some traffic on the road which was seemed to be other people looking for sites, not much though. However, in general, for large rigs, turn around would be difficult so I don’t recommend going up the road and looking for something. The spots are little more than narrow pullouts on the side of the road. Nothing like other dispersed camping we’ve used in National forests in the past.

Found ourselves without a camp so we arrived here late as a last resort and it was perfect. We have a rooftop tent so we just needed a place to park. We stayed at the loop a little ways down the road on the right. This was a larger open area with a rock firepit in the center. Perfect for one night

Nice roadside spots, road in great condition. Pull out areas are good sized, close to the highway.

Recommend sticking with first 4 sites all within first 0.75 miles. Three are on the shoulder of road.
First site is on left. Fits campervan or truck with cabover. Very small.
Second site is on the right. Can drop a 30 ft trailer and park next to it. Will be a little tight. Recommend turning around at circle round about noted in other postings and backing it in. (facing the entrance)
Third site is largest behind the round about. Can fit large fifth wheel.
Fourth site is 0.2 past round about on drivers side when entering. Id recommend backing into this site from the round about. Since finding a spot to Uturn up the road is near impossible. I dropped my 26 ft trailer at this site and parked in front. Could Also fit 30 ft trailer.

Found a Spot when heading toward the entrance. Probably about 1 mile From entrance. Very secluded and nice.
Road seems to continue up for several more miles but I was getting uneasy about finding a spot to turn around so didnt continue any further.

We used this spot to crash for an evening, after disliking the prices and options of the near by State Park, and Forestry campground. It was a little tight for our setup, when we had to consider the possibility of others showing up. We ended up having the place to ourselves for the evening, and it was very quiet. There is a nicer spot on the upper terrace to stay, however its a little muddy, but others may find it to their liking. The typical amount of trash for a remote campsite, including TP in the branches, however its not excessive and very little broken glass. A couple of existing fire pits, and it looked to be a grouse hunting area for those inclined. We would stay here again, but we wouldn't go out of our way to do so. Cell jumped between 1 bar of LTE and 3G.

We used this spot on a Saturday night. The first review gives a great outline of what to expect. Only issue for us is that our rig is 40' plus a tow vehicle. We disconnected the tow and were able to park our rig side by side with another smaller rig at the bottom of the circle. The site is a bit over grown so we didn't see previous campfire circles. However, we we're able to make one on the gravel easily. There was an upper site but it was in use. We wouldn't have been able to get our rigs thru the overgrowth, however, a vehicle with a tent could just fine. Our spot was perfect for our needs, and the sky was gorgeous with no cloud cover. It was perfectly peaceful. No bugs in the evening, but in the morning the mosquitoes we're out in force. We would probably not use this site again due to our size.
