“Lake and Mountain Views, Large Sites”

We got one of the sites that are directly on the lake, which are sites one through eight. I was a little worried because the utilities are on the opposite side if you were to back in, but we were able to pull our trailer in and drive our tow vehicle out with no problem and it was rainy, but the ground is very firm so if you do get one of the lakefront sites, you can pull in forward. There was lots of grassy areas to walk our pup.
One drawback is the Wi-Fi situation. I don’t mind that they charge $13 Canadian for three days but you can only use it on one device so if you need to connect multiple devices, you will have to pay for each device. I think they could do better than that , however, that was the only drawback

New park so everything is clean and new. All sites are quite large and pull-through with a good size grass area and a picnic table. There are no trees so no shade but no obstacles to hit either. Some sites have back-to-back hookups but the area between is large and there are separate hookups. For example sites 21 & 22 are back-to-back (see the map on the website). This arrangement makes for an even larger area of grass on the other side. A few sites are designed for motorhomes to drive in and have a view out the front of the lake. These are premium sites and cost $5 more per night. The campground is right on the lake but the access, at least right now, is not easy; there are lots of bushes and weeds and a bit of a slope to the water. I can see this changing as the park matures. There is a day-use area with a better beach and a boat launch. We did not go swimming because there was a lot of algae in the water and it didn't look very inviting. The water may be clearer farther from shore and it will probably change with the season. The highway is close and has a good amount of truck traffic during the day but it's quite quiet at night and didn't bother us at all. There is a camp host to answer questions but you have to check-in at the store beside the Quichena Hotel just down the road.
Good TELUS cell service.
