Noise level from off road vehicles was pretty high, but other than that we loved staying here. During the week we practically had the place to ourselves. Coin operated showers and flush toilets! There are also vault toilets which were kept very clean. We got there on a Friday and got a site with a fire pit, picnic table and a little pavilion to ourselves. Road and campsites can have some loose sand, and you have to drive up a short sand bank to sites from the road, but our class c did fine. Discovery center and staff were fabulous.

Absolutely love this spot! Clean showers (50 cents for 2 mins), bathrooms, trash, and shaded picnic tables. Incredibly quiet and peaceful at night but can be hot and super windy during the day. Decent cell service! Highly recommend.

Our first time in the desert. Shaded picnic tables and fire rings and very cool as you can see for miles. Sunset was AMAZING. We couldn’t stay, it was during a heat wave. We left to drive out of the heat but would totally come back during cooler months. Easy to get to.

Great spot to stay for a couple of nights. Keep in mind this is an OHV area so it will get pretty busy on weekends. Basic dry camping spot. Awesome solar. There were spots that had covered picnic tables and fire pits. Lots of similar spots all down the road. Very sandy. Great Verizon coverage. I think there are bathrooms but we didn’t ... more

You can camp here for 30 days within any calendar year. It can be noisy at night due to loud music and dirt bikes. On two of our three stays here, the nights were peaceful and the stars were brilliant. The other time, we were woken up by dirt bikes and loud music. We take the chance because the setting is so beautiful, there are flush toilets, and coin op showers. For a more peaceful location, check out Hawk Canyon in Anza Borrego State Park or Clark Dry Lake which is just outside of Borrego Springs.

I'm a dispersing camper and don't require amenities. There are vault toilets in a free established campground upon entering the area. The scenery is beautiful and the area to disperse is immense. Plenty of room for me and my dogs. I stayed the weekend after New Years so human footprint was obvious w/ some left over fireworks containers and cardboard around. But cleaner than most places. Fire-rings here and there, kids out four-wheeling. All in all good place to stay w/ Borrego Springs 30 minutes away.
