Great AT&T cell/data service. Some off road vehicle noise, not bad during the week. The main downside was the wind! Very breezy at times.

We dry camped here for 4 days and 3 nights and loved it. We camped during the week so there wasn't a lot of noise from the off roaders. It will be noisier on the weekends and especially on long weekends. We camped on the first week of January so the temperatures were mild, 70's during the day and in the 40's at night. We did have one night of strong wind that kept us in the camper without a fire.
There are things to see in the area and I would suggest a day trip out to Salvation Mountain and Slab City. If you go to Slab City make it a point to go see "East Jesus." It's an amazing collection of folk art sculptures that is a must see.

Quiet if not packed with off road vehicles. I was here on a few week nights and it was empty. Needed a spot on my way to the California coast, and this was nice to unwind and get some work done. Hiking trails around 11 miles from here in the Anza-Borrego Desert state park. There are a couple of RV dump stations near this side of the Salton Sea. Verizon fluctuated between 4 and 5g, but I had a very good connection using my weboost, which has given me a connection inside my camper I can stream or play video games, download etc, at places there was no signal. Outside I get 5G without the booster, but it helps inside a lot.
