Great hosts, small creek next to site, wonder full little paths throughout the site. Picnic Tables, fire rings, water, Lots of Toilets. Beautiful fall colors from all the Maple trees. No Cell service. about 9 miles from Nephi road was paved all the way in. Pads are all paved. My RV is 31' and were several locations to accommodate it size. Must take a trip to the Mountain top on the paved Nebo loop road. The views are breath taking & amazingly great cell service at the top. I you would rather Camp for free there are many road side choices of the Nebo loop road. The sites were 24 dollars a night ( kind of steep ) but I paid 12 with AtB pass.

Ponderosa is the first of three campgrounds along FR048 after it splits off from the Nebo Loop Road. The road and the parking pads in this campground are all asphalt in very good condition. The campground does have a campground host who apparently has a sense of humor given the Winnie the Pooh trail marker. Rates are $18 with a %50 percent discount for federal passes.
We drove through this campground on a Saturday and it was very nearly full with every site sporting a reserved sign for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Some of the sites had large (40') toy haulers or Class A rigs, so they obviously fit but only if the driver doesn't sneeze. Midsize rigs will be more comfortable in this campground. The road through the campground is narrow and in most cases, the maneuvering into the individual sites is tight.
About half of the sites have creek views or high bank frontage.
Like the others, don't anticipate any cell coverage in the canyon.
If you'd prefer boondocking, there are lots of spots between the highway and this campground that are regularly used for boondocking - many of them full on this late May weekend.
John & BJ would stay here again
