I wanted to love this campground, but I just didn’t. The location is walkable to Watson Lake (about 1/2 mile), and that’s the best feature of the park. The entire park is unpaved, including driveway, roads, and lots. The lots are covered with gravel which meant that even with a carpet outside we needed to wear shoes constantly outside because the gravel is very sharp on your feet. The gravel driveway makes it a bit slippery when entering and leaving the campground.
Our lot (70) was a bit narrow, not level, and at the top of a hill facing a noisy road. While the weather was quite nice, I was reluctant to keep many windows open because every time someone drove past the dust was terrible. Our Airstream was covered with dust when we left. Our lot was also a dumping spot for plant debris, so the back of the lot had piles of debris just pushed off the hill.
My husband used the shower house, which he described as clean but quite old. We had power, water and sewer which were all in good order, so I used our TT shower. There are no grills or fire rings, but each spot is equipped with a picnic table. Tree coverage was attractive, but interfered with our Starlink, so our internet was intermittent. We didn’t use the campground internet because they state that it is not for streaming or downloading. The park had full bars on our Verizon phones.
Considering that Watson Lake, Whiskey Row, and Peavine Trail (which were our destinations) have ample parking, I think next trip we will find a different RV park.

All of the sites vary in size, so it's important to review the site sizes to make sure that your RV will fit. There is a very large picnic area with many picnic tables. Also, the trails surrounding the campground offer a variety of terrain and all are scenic. What is best is the proximity to Watson Lake which is great for kayaking. We had a great time and will be back. The manager, Jason, was great to work with.

Ok so this park isn’t perfect but it does have some things going for it.
Pros: Centrally located between Prescott and Prescott Valley. Very strong wifi. Cool location in the rocks above Watson Lake.
Cons: Dusty. Store/office still closed (March 2022) due to Covid 🤦♂️

Have stayed/reviewed here before, this time we stayed in a standard site. Little bit smaller than premium site. Standard sites are a little small for my taste. Used the bathrooms this time. Older bathroom's, very clean though. Hiked the trail to the lake. The trail goes through a park that is great for kids or to let pups run.

Point of Rocks RV Campground is a great campground especially for its location. We really enjoyed being so close to the Granite Dells and Lake Watson. It is also only minutes away from Old Downtown Prescott. Although the office was closed due to COVID-19, an employee came out and greeted us and pointed out brochures they have made up for different local activities. I picked up the Biking and Hiking brochure and it was well written and correlated well with the online research I’d done for the area. Our site was easy to find. Park roads are narrow and gravel with a few turns that are a bit of a challenge in a larger RV. Our travel trailer made it around though with little effort. Our site was a back in site with full hookups and all worked as they should and were in good repair. The site wasn’t large, but it wasn’t small either. There were some trees and rocks that helped with privacy, but it is cozy as far as neighbors go. The turn into and out of the park is a bit of a challenge to find and to manage given it is on a hill and turn meaning it is hard to see when approaching from the North and hard to see Southbound traffic when turning left out of the park.

Was extremely disappointed with the site and park in general. Site was overgrown with grass and weeds. Does not appear that the sites are being maintained very well at all. Mosquito's were terrible, could not go out at night without spraying, and same thing was trued for day time even though temps were in the high 80's, low 90's. Attribute that to monsoon rains, but mostly lack of maintenance with an excess of weeds and grass for them to take shelter. Numerous dead and dying trees throughout park. Could be a real hazard in high wind conditions. Sites are extremely close to each other, little to no privacy.. Mixture of long term and transient campers. One of the most expensive RV parks we have stayed at, way overpriced for what you got. $51 a night, just not right.

We were backed up against the rocks and it was a pretty premium RV site. There is a short walk to Watson lake where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards, and they bring the kayaks to you. The only downside is the bathrooms are a little outdated and could use some updating in the area we were staying.

Nice campground in the Granite Dells. Sites are pretty tight. Our big complaint is the dry dusty roads. Our coach and car looked like we had been boondocking for a week. They should oil or water the roads. Had cell service on Verizon. Quiet during the night. Close to town. Able to Mtn. Bike and gravel bike right from campground.

Want people to stay at your park? How about don't act like total jerks in every way on your website before I even get to know why i might want to stay there.
You couldn't pay me to support this kind of obnoxious attitude from rv park management.
I hope you come to your senses before the people who work for you end up jobless.
