Short drive to get away from Bishop heat. Paved road all the way. No cell reception. Can get full quickly but climbers seem to come and go frequently. Nice views and good hikes close by.

Nice area up the canyon. Some Spots Creekside but most are not. Good hiking at the end of the road. Rock climbing and fishing. If You Decide To Fish Please Practice Catch And Release.

Access road is a little sharp turn so take it easy and wide if you have a bigger rig (our neighbor hauled a 40’ trailer and made it work).
Super clean for remote camping. There are some portolet toilets about 1/4mi walk up the road that are provided by camper’s coalition.
River is pleasantly loud to help dampen any noise from other campers, which made it feel super nice.
Close by to Lone Pine/Bishop and access to some really pristine climbing/hiking!

Many of the spots to camp have really bumpy access. There are a few spots with smooth access, but watch for overhanging branches. I don't think we could have gotten our 29' Class A in the most popular camping spot without trimming some branches.
That being said, it's a beautiful spot with a snow-melt creek and we would have stayed here except we need cell service to work.
