Not very big but accommodates large vehicles.
Pit toilets
Trash receptacles
Fire rings
Tables
Close to Sugar Pine Lake ($5 day use fee)
Note to self: do not take primitive road to/from Colfax. Way too narrow and steep.

Overall not bad. We were just looking for an overnight stay, and it was good for that. Beautiful wooded area. Large sites. There was no one else here during at night. It is an OHV staging area, so there are a lot more rigs during the day when people are out riding. The good - Secluded, quiet and beautiful forested area. Free. ... more

The good - Secluded, quiet and beautiful forested area. Free.
The not so good - The insects were unbearable. I know we are camping, but this was exceptionally bad. The mosquitos at night were bad enough, but in the morning, the yellowjackets were everywhere. Be prepared.

Perfect boondocking spot. Full of families and their off road toys. Now we want to get a motorcycle. After around 6 p.m. everyone was gone and we had the whole forest for our selves. There are assigned barbecue areas and bathrooms. There is a dump station further up.
