Do they close for the winter months? If so, when do they close the campground?

A review mentions water available, but would like to confirm... does the dump area have a water spigot for tank filling?

Beautiful site but after 30 minutes of hanging out at 9pm I realized there was a constant stream of trains passing by. The tracks were maybe 200 yards away and trains rolled by every 15 minutes blaring horns. I couldn’t imagine trying to sleep there. Ended up leaving for Vedawoo in Wyoming.

I don’t think you can get to one area from the other without going to main road. If your looking for the dump station it’s in the main campground. After you enter main camp, go to the left and stay on left road closest to highway. It’s about a quarter mile down the road on the right next to some bathrooms. Water is also available.

One warning, as of 8/21, there is construction on 80 East for the first several exits, so we had to go past the Google maps directions (exit 1) until exit 20. We were pretty exhausted and annoyed that the construction just skipped those exits and there wasn't any warning beforehand. It may be more effective to take the last Wyoming exit and use side roads from there, but we didn't try.

Although we didn’t sleep well because of the train noise, it was a lovely spot. Simple. Leftover firewood scraps were helpful from previous campers! We stayed a short walk from the water and it was a full moon. Absolutely beautiful. Donation based so there is no set fee. Roads were pretty decent.

Nice quiet and clean campground to dry camp overnight. Water found throughout the park but will need a long hose to fill camper. We just filled buckets for washing dishes. Restroom facilities are as clean as an outhouse can be. State park ranger drove through the park several times monitoring. Most sites are not even and you will need leveling blocks. We were not able to locate he dump station that others talked about. We drove east to Cabalas in Sidney to dump. great place for train lovers as the tracks are right by the campgrounds. Trains go by about every hour. No fee campground but accept Free will donations.

Donation only, we always give about $20 a night if people dont donate they eventually will start charging...the biggest complaint i hear is the train, but that doesnt bother us since we already live next to train tracks so we dont even notice. The spring/summer thunderstorms are amazing to watch.
This is a secret, quiet, peaceful place don't tell everyone...

Some of the roads through the campground are a bit rutted out, but not bad. Trains are a little loud but didn't bother us at all. T-Mobile was roaming but 5 bars and pretty speedy.

Stayed overnight during 2nd week of May - got good directions from the lady at the info center - there were maybe 4 or 5 other campers - had unfortunately bad weather in the way of terrible wind gusts but that can happen anytime anywhere I reckon - as others have pointed out this campground is close to the railroad tracks and they run often - but it's not just that they run often it is that they blast their horns so loud you can almost feel the sound! some of the roads were a bit too rutted for my class b motorhome - there are several vault toilets - no charge but donations are appreciated - i would rate this campground higher but for the trains' horns blasting during the night

Very clean. Very nice. I will be here again.
The trains appear to run every 30 minutes. There were a LOT of trains. However, nothing woke me up while sleeping (perhaps they don't honk at night?).
Awesome place. Don't tell anyone!
