Do they close for the winter months? If so, when do they close the campground?

A review mentions water available, but would like to confirm... does the dump area have a water spigot for tank filling?

An interesting campground. There are two sides, separated by a draw. The campsites are ill defined. If you have a fire ring, it is campsite. There are numbered posts by the sits. All grass. Nice beach. Karen, the camp host, is very nice. Donation “price”. Please make one.

We came on a Monday and the camping area was packed out. We ended up camping in the overflow lot, was told by the camp host we could be there, only for (what I assume was) a park ranger to come knocking on our door later on telling us we couldn't camp there. Whatever.
There's traintracks right beside the camping area. It was very loud. I tried sleeping with earplugs but even that didn't block out the noise of honking trains.
There's not really much to do here either unless you fish. Drive on an hour west to Cheyenne; There's much better, free camping.

Camp host showed up as soon as we pulled into a site and explained everything. Each space has a picnic table
And fire pit. Well water and trash is available. Be warned there are a ton of flies by the toilets. Trains run pretty steady but it was a nice and quiet place to
Camp otherwise.

This spot wasn’t bad for a night of sleep after driving all day. The flies were pretty bad but that was alright. There is train tracks right next to the area and you will hear trains going through at all hours, again, it was alright and didn’t stop us from staying here. Vault toilets, by far not the cleanest, but we made it work. We stayed here on a Thursday night, there were quite a lot of people, some of which were loud and inconsiderate all night long. Bring earplugs. Overall, we’d crash here again for the night.

The flies were really really bad. We had to stay in the camper most of the time except to bike ride and walk. The trains were so nice to hear.

This location has free camping, but you can leave a donation. There is a small beach area on the reservoir. A bit buggy, but easy access from the Highway and a good spot for one night.

Donation based. There was a lot of trains but they were like white noise to me. Someone ran their generator all night which also wasn’t bothersome to me. Very windy. Site A1 has water hook up at the site. Would have stayed longer but it’s getting cold.
