Made reservations via call & all was good however, the young man did not know what he was talking about. He said he reserved us a spot right on the river & in the shade. It was close BUT hook ups are on the wrong side & towards the front of the site. Luckily, we have a small aframe camper & could pull it towards the other side & towards the front of the site. Left us room to pull our truck beside it. However, this put us in full sun. Would have been perfect had the hookups been correct. River access is almost non existent but we could hear it. We saw other sites that were smaller, shaded & surrounded by vegetation. Some had water only. Some had water & electric. Would have preferred the shade for sure. Bathroom was very clean & although co-ed, each shower was private & had a locking door. Of course, the draw here is the hot springs & spa which is wonderful!
Only other issue was $20 extra for their dump station which was at the entrance to camp ground. We did not use this & just used a truck stop along the way. Be sure to ask for a map of the campground BEFORE pulling in. Couple of tight turns & dead end on one side.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday with friends. Site 14 was fairly short and nestled amid the trees and was nice and quiet. Our site was not a good candidate for a stable Starlink connection for work calls but downloading video, etc. should work fine. Campground wifi was weak to non-existent at our site.
As others have noted, the electric and water hookups are on the wrong side/end of the campsite, which rendered electrical pointless for us (thank goodness we had a robust battery system).
There are two showers in the co-ed bath building at the west end of the campground leading to the resort. The showers were reasonably clean and had good water pressure/temperature. However, there was significant sulphur smell to the water which also discolored some of our jewelry (particularly my silver bracelet, fixed with baking soda with water in an aluminum-foil lined bath). If you like the smell of rotten eggs while showering, you’ll like it. The rest of us may not appreciate the residual smell in our hair as much.
The resort itself was great. We had one meal at the restaurant with our friends, and 3 of the 4 of us loved our meal. The other was so-so. The baths were somewhat crowded and most chairs were claimed, but it didn’t feel like there were too many people. We also had a private bath, which was incredible (they built a fire in the kiva f/p for us—a nice touch).
(Note my cellular review indicated 4G 3 bars. It was usually technically 4-5, but an Extended Network instead of true Verizon network, so it was quite slow.)
Overall, we’d stay here again as the resort was wonderful and the staff helpful and courteous, but would be better prepared for its campground’s downsides.

However, the campground needs some work. Not the most aesthetically appealing to the eyes. A lot of “stuff” around that could be cleaned up and straightened up. The camp sights are compact. No sewer hook up. You have to pay $20 to dump. Probably the biggest need, for over 20 something sights there is ONE communal bathroom with ONE shower. Had to wait in line to take a shower. So, no sewer hook up, one shower makes it a project of planning your bathroom experience.

When you've been boondocking in the desert long enough that even your soul feels sandblasted and you can't remember what it's like to see water, green plants, and flowers, this oasis will bring you back to life. It's probably pretty great even when you haven't spent the winter in the desert.
Pros:
* The resort is the entire reason to come, and if you can't tell, I think it's wonderful.
* The campground itself is really quite nice, surrounded by trees and very peaceful. Most sites have a lot of privacy (especially the ones for smaller RVs).
* The campground showers are clean and have plenty of hot water.
* It's incredibly peaceful - people in the pool area are asked to keep phones silenced and voices at whisper-level (and it was enforced kindly). The entire place has a peaceful & friendly vibe.
* So many options - each of the 9 different pools has a different temperature and vibe, so you can migrate between pools, the mud station, and 2 different saunas and never get bored. The pool temps range from 80 degrees to "fire cannot kill a dragon."
* Nice places to walk - there's a well shaded dirt road near the river, and a lot of (less shaded) trails around.
* Cool vintage airstream trailers that can be rented, a lot of rooms as well
* The yoga classes are great, and the morning classes are free (make sure you sign up for them).
* The grounds are lovely and well-thought. There are so many flowers, trees, nice places to sit and walk.
Meh:
* It's pricey, but worth it if you love hot springs. Pool days, gift shop, dump station, etc can all add up.
* I thought the restaurant was just ok.
* The campground wasn't full and I was able to extend my stay, but the spa treatments were all booked up.
Cons:
* Probably not a great place to throw a boisterous party
* Like others have said, I wouldn't bring a large RV here
* Between wifi, Verizon, and AT&T, internet access was ok during the week but not great on weekends. Starlink won't be great due to the tall trees & hills around the campground.
I stayed here in early June 2022.

There is a creek nearby which sounds lovely at night and lots of beautiful birdsong in the morning. Quiet at night for good nights sleep. Cell service very low Verizon 3 bars 3g extended and no service on T mobile. Not a space to stay for a workweek for digital nomads but a great stop for a luxurious weekend.

We loved having access to the hot springs and hiking trails form the campground. Some of the sites are small and the hook-ups are on the wrong side. The dump is not included in the nightly rate and costs $21.50. We did not have any cell service and the wifi was 50mbps at best.

While the mineral springs have been used by native peoples for thousands of years, Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort and Spa first opened its doors in 1868. They offer a variety of accommodations, including RV spaces. It’s a surprisingly nice campground too! The spaces are tucked in among the trees and most have vegetation between sites for privacy. The sites have power and water – mostly 30amp and a few with 50amp service. There are some quirks – like the hookups for our space (#19) were on the wrong side and towards the front of the space. We ended up solving the problem by pulling in rather than backing in. Showers and bathrooms were clean and very nice. There is a dump station, but it costs an extra $20. You have to pay at the resort on the day you plan to dump and show your receipt to get the dump unlocked.
We enjoyed the 2-mile Bosque Loop trail adjacent to the campground and the Rincon mountain biking trail system from the resort. Use of the resort/spa is NOT included in your camping fee. Purchase your day passes when you register and get a discount. Now let’s talk about the spa…
The spa had about a dozen pools with varying temperatures (89° to 104°) and different mineral contents – iron, soda, lithia, and arsenic. I’m not sure just how therapeutic “taking the waters” actually is, but I’ll give soaking in hot mineral water until I’m boneless a fair trial. They also had wet and dry saunas, we especially liked the eucalyptus steam sauna. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, whisper only please. The shower and locker area is very nice and I just loved the swimsuit spinners that wring the water out of your suit. No dripping suits hanging in the RV. Yay!
A nice gift shop with an array of practical items and souvenirs. We had dinner at the on-site Artesian Restaurant & Wine Bar and liked it. Nothing is cheap, but it’s not horribly overpriced either. We’d definitely enjoy a return trip!
We had 4 bars of Verizon 3G in the campground and the campground wifi worked well.
