Great access to the beach where you can walk for miles. Or bring your bike and ride into town. We were is loop 4 with hookups. Great access to the beach where you can walk for miles. Or bring your bike and ride into town. We were is loop 4 with hookups. The hookups were nice except the sewer was higher than the ground so be prepared. The restrooms were clean and comfortable. Our neighbours sewer connection was right beside our picnic table (which couldn’t be moved) so we couldn’t eat outside unfortunately. Due to close proximity we didn’t spend a lot of time at our site. Considering the price we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

“Easy Ocean Access”

If you're looking to visit the ocean, this is a great spot. Not too long or difficult of a hike and town is not too far for groceries. Showers are not too fantastic but do the job. Would stay here again and spend more time on the beach. It was 45 degrees when staying here for reference.

We camped here in mid-August to relax at the beach. Our campsite was spacious and private with plenty of shade trees. We camped here in mid-August to relax at the beach. Our campsite was spacious and private with plenty of shade trees. Water and trash located nearby, restrooms were dirty and in poor condition, free hot showers. The beach was a short walk from our campsite, this is where we spent most of our time. The nearby town has great restaurants and a very good grocery store. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Registration staff were very pleasant. Site 62 had two dogs that were unleashed the majority of the time and it appears that park staff wasn’t concerned which is very disappointing. The park host had dogs that when they were on their leash at the host site would act aggressively if you tried to approach their site to ask them questions... more
Registration staff were very pleasant. Site 62 had two dogs that were unleashed the majority of the time and it appears that park staff wasn’t concerned which is very disappointing. The park host had dogs that when they were on their leash at the host site would act aggressively if you tried to approach their site to ask them questions. Not a welcoming feeling and inappropriate. Our dog was attacked by another dog because the owner didn’t have control of his dogs. We had two kids being peeping toms one evening and we followed them back to their campsite and chewed out the parents.
Needless to say we won’t be camping there again.

$10 off season pass for hookups. Free basic sites. Don't know who got more than one bar any carrier. Beach is 1/4 mi away by trail. Nice beach stroll but you do put up with cars getting their salty sandblast.

This state park, close to Ocean Shores and a Quinault Beach Resort and Casino, is a great location for campers looking to be close to things to do, but perhaps isn’t expecting the park to be the entertainment. This state park, close to Ocean Shores and a Quinault Beach Resort and Casino, is a great location for campers looking to be close to things to do, but perhaps isn’t expecting the park to be the entertainment. The sites are well maintained but can be very close together, while other sites have total privacy. You can hear, but not see, the ocean - which is about a 1/4 mile walk away. We probably wouldn’t camp in this site again, look for something with more privacy - inner of Loop 4 has a lot of too-close sites. The beach was nice, but tons of cars driving around. All the same, the location is great but perhaps underwhelming as a campground.

I’ll start with cell service. It is highly dependent on where you are in this park if you have cell service on T-Mobile. Our site, 139 did not have service. I’ll start with cell service. It is highly dependent on where you are in this park if you have cell service on T-Mobile. Our site, 139 did not have service. Walk to the other side of our loop and I could get 1 - 2 bars.
This is a super family driven park. Lot of families staying and visiting ocean shores down the road. It’s a bit older by WA parks standards, but well maintained and clean.
The ocean is a surprisingly long walk through the dunes. More than expected, but also not terrible.
Our site was pretty close to the site next to us, borderline like a KOA. The fire pit was behind our coach and even if there had not been a burn ban, I wouldn’t have used it given its proximity.
Overall, we would stay here again, but not in the same site.

We stayed in Loop 4, full hookups. The site itself was a private pull-through site. Website said under 35ft but we were able to fit our 36ft+TOAD in without any issues. Strange sewer connection that seems to be designed so you can’t keep it connected. Bathrooms were clean and each toilet and sink is it’s own room. Token showers, bill c... more
We stayed in Loop 4, full hookups. The site itself was a private pull-through site. Website said under 35ft but we were able to fit our 36ft+TOAD in without any issues. Token showers, bill changer is provided at the entrance building. Easy walkway to the beach from within this loop. Verizon signal is spotty, and couldn’t be improved even with directional booster antenna. 4-5mbps at best.

Nice state park. Way too hot on the eastside for me n the dogs, so I had hoped to find a place on the cooler coast and was lucky enough to get one for 3 consecutive nights, in the otherwise full state park. Nice park, 180(?) spots in 4 loops with only one of the loops having hookups (maybe 20 fhu spots total?). The spots were all we... more
Nice state park. Way too hot on the eastside for me n the dogs, so I had hoped to find a place on the cooler coast and was lucky enough to get one for 3 consecutive nights, in the otherwise full state park. Nice park, 180(?) spots in 4 loops with only one of the loops having hookups (maybe 20 fhu spots total?). The spots were all well spaced and big, most were in the trees and well screened from each other.
There is plenty of pond water nearby and as a result, the mosquitos were a minor nuisance in the morning and evening. Bring the bug spray, citronella candles, bug house and you'll be fine. Or just head to the beach. Depending on which loop you camp in, the beach is walkable, maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 mile, but driving into Ocean Shores and accessing the drivable beach there with your car is a kick too.
Older reviews have noted a lack of cell service, but maybe that has changed. I had TMobile connect with partial 5G and about 3 bars of 4G on 2 different devices. Better than I expected and more than enough for me.

We stayed here for 3 nights in late November 2020. The campground was a bit wet, but that was to be expected in Northwest winter. One of the trails to the beach was flooded, but we camped right next to the better trail that goes through the day use parking lot. Our site was a pull-through and very private. Most sites were large and had good privacy. The bathrooms and showers were super clean and new! Will definitely come back and hoping to make use of the group camp site when they open up again.
