The train is opposite side of river, does not use horn though. Maybe 12 trains per 24 hours.
Otherwise a good stop for exploring the great area.

There is a playground and a small bocce field. There is a river trail with multiple places to get down to both sandy and rocky areas along the river. We saw some people sitting with their chairs down by the river when it got hot but didn’t see anyone fishing. We saw a few people getting in the water, but you have to go out a distance to get yourself fully enveloped.
Friday night it was very loud. No one seems to go around at night enforcing the quiet time. Generator hours were the usual 9 to 11 and 6 to 8. There were some first come first serve sites and they put a sign out on the weekend that there was overflow RV parking in the day use area.
The dump station was five dollars as most of them are and had fresh water.
There are water spigots and trash/pit toilets throughout. It states to boil your water for a minute
You can hear trains going throughout the day and night but it’s not super loud.
It was a good central location to explore the trails in Wells Gray.
Cell service was slow but we were able to put out our Starlink.

We were visiting Wells Gray park for day hiking and split our stay between Clearwater Lake campground and here. Wish we had stayed in this campground the entire time. This is a perfect spot to leave the trailer for the day while you head into the park rather than camping all the way out in Wells Gray. The sites along the river are generally smaller (except for site 27) so if you have a larger rig don’t book riverfront. We were in site 23 and our 18 foot trailer fit nicely. Anything longer than 22’ would be uncomfortable. There are some really small sites in this campground so pay close attention to site description before booking. If you rely on solar also avoid riverfront because those sites are in shade most of the day. Clean and well maintained pit toilets. There is a sani-dump ($5) and fresh water fill. Friendly staff are frequently seen cleaning, emptying trash and selling firewood. Cell service throughout the campground. Short drive to town for groceries, restaurants or a dip in Dutch Lake (was fabulous on a hot day). There is a train that passes on the other side of the river. It is noticeable so if you are sensitive to noise during the night book a site away from the river.

We didn’t stay here, but drove through and checked it all out. The sites are clean and level and large and have lots of privacy. We didn’t see any hookups at the sites, but they have a water full station and a dump station when you pull in the park. The river is beautiful, and the train is in a distance, so it’s not too noisy. The drives are all asphalt, and it’s easy to get around the park with a big rig. If we are ever in this area of BC, we would stay here.

Large sites, and very private. Picnic tables are on concrete pad, and very sturdy. Gravel pad pretty level. Sites on river little hard to secure without reservation. Do get some road noise, and freight train comes by periodically
