We enjoyed our time at this park, but a lot depends on what site you get and how crowded it is. Good: Mostly level sites, friendly people, wifi, good restaurant on site, on the shore of a picturesque small lake, clean washroom, laundry, great location for exploring Wells Gray park and all the waterfalls and hikes, quiet (no highway or train noise). But: some of the sites are very close together and some have the table and hookups in awkward locations, wifi is very slow, laundry only had two washers and one wasn't working.

“A nice quiet campground near a wonderful Provincial Park”

This is a very nice small private campground near Wells Gray Provincial Park. Wells Gray is an amazing preserve containing over 40 named waterfalls, alpine meadows, snow covered mountain peaks, world class white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, etc.. This place is a must for any outdoor enthusiast.
We selected this particular campground because it offered full hookups and we were going to be here for a fairy long time and didn’t want to have to move to get water and dump. Also, temperatures were forecast to be well above normal for this time of the year and we wanted to run the AC. Also, this campground is unique in that is far from both the highway and rail lines. Those of you traveling out west in mountain country know that so many RV parks seem to be located next to highways and train tracks and can be annoyingly noisy as a result. This campground proved to be every bit as quiet as we had hoped.
The campground is on a small lake which is perfect for swimming and just cooling off after a long day of hiking. There is also an excellent restaurant on the premises (The Painted Turtle) which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
When we were here 80% or more of the RVs were rentals with foreign tourists. These folks tend to leave around 9 or 10 AM as they use their rigs as their daily driver and return around 5 PM for the night. As a result the campground is very empty during the day. This may change once schools let out in June and the family camping season begins.
The sites in this campground are typically small for a private Canadian campground (they seem to have slightly smaller spaces than do private campgrounds in the US.) But the campground itself is quiet and a very pleasant place to hang out so “site size” wasn’t a big negative. Many sites can easily accommodate rigs up to 40 feet in length.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The campground does offer wifi which was typically spotty. We have Verizon for cell data and they use TELUS in this area. Cell data was OK but not great. As is typical of Canada, cell data is fine in major metro areas but lacking in the countryside. If you are looking to work from the road you will need to seek out a reliable connection, perhaps at the local library (?)
