“Great Secluded Camping! ”

Large spaces, private, somewhat remote camping area. We had spot 13 right on the river and it was great. Pretty high up with cool temps. We came on a Sunday in late June and pretty much had the whole camping loop to ourselves. The river was still pretty big at this time.

“Beautiful campsite overlooking the Creek. The sound of the rushing water was very relaxing.”

It was a long day traveling but Campendium provided very accurate directions.
Site 13 was a pull through and next to the creek. Sites were huge.

Stayed here in early September in 37' FW. Camp hosts were friendly; camp was clean and quiet. Stayed about 50 yards from the creek and could hear the rushing water in the early morning. Had occasional service on AT&T. There are trails into the Rio Grande National Forest a short walk or drive from the campground. Some sites can accommodate 40' plus RVs. Was a 7 minute drive to the falls. There is fresh water at 2 central locations and the bathrooms were kept clean. The campground closed in mid September.

We stayed here 3 nights. The campground was very clean and quiet. My site was level and not far from the creek. The vault toilet was pretty nasty though. (I did not use, but we had campers in tents that used the facilities.) The hosts were very nice and since we bought firewood, they delivered to our campsite. This was a very nice campground and we had most of the sites on the end. (The campground is first-come-first served.) There were 2 "loops". We were in the one closest to the creek. Some of the site were pull-throughs and some were back-in. (My site was a back in.) The campground is about 2 miles from Hwy 149 and about 25 miles northwest of Creede. The site I had (#15) was good for solar panels. I couldn't believe we had cell phone coverage in the campground.
