Sites are private with lots of vegetation and privacy. Quiet and secluded but convenient. Great close by restaurants. All sand everywhere but this is “North Beach Campground “ so expect beach setting.

Beautiful campground. Dinner and sunset at Kate’s. Ocean sunrise in the morning. A lot of tropical foliage separating the campsites.

Our tow vehicle broke down 4 days before our scheduled arrival, stranding us until it would be ready. We called to change our dates and were told we would lose our deposit and have to make a new reservation. The deposit would not be applied to a new reservation, it would be lost. When we asked for an exception under these unexpected circumstances (particularly because we still planned to stay with them for the same amount of time, just later when our truck was repaired), we were told that they only make exceptions for hurricanes and that we agreed to these terms & conditions when we made our reservation. I said that we didn't know when we made the reservation that our truck would break down and have no way to get there. The woman hung up on me. My subsequent email pleading for an exception went unanswered.
In 8 months of full-timing, we have not encountered such a strict, intractable policy or a more rude, less empathetic person. Just like the people at North Beach, I'm also a business owner so I definitely understand the need to protect one's bottom line, but unlike North Beach, I also understand the value of a little kindness, understanding, and just basic customer service.

This is a great location and facility. We prefer state, county or federal campgrounds over most commercial parks, but North Beach is an exceptional park. It is across the A1A from the beach. They have 2 restaurants, one on the beach and one on the intracoastal canal where a great sunset can be seen from your table. The park does not have paved roads or pads, rather beach sand everywhere. The longer term guests use a black construction mat staked down over the complete pad. I'm not sure I get why they do that, but they do. How bout just leave your slippers at the door before you get in your rig?
This is a quiet park. Although it is right off A1A and a side road that goes to Aunt Kate's restaurant, its still quiet, even for sites nearer to the roads as we were. Most sites have a live-oak tree canopy, but there are a few that do not, so try and use satellite to pick the covered sites. Our site was level.
They have a nice heated pool that we did not use and recycling that we did.
The front desk people are very friendly and allowed us to come in early.
If we were going to mark them down for anything, it would be their laundry facilities. While they have 3 of them spread out in the park, the one we used only had 2 working washers and they and the dryers were not HE. The laundry facilities need to be updated.
Our price reflects a 10% for military and includes all taxes.

We are in site 29 very nice. Pretty private as most sites in this loop seem to be. Location is awesome, short walk to the Atlantic. There are two restaurants in walking distance as well. Historic St. Augustine is a short ten min. drive. Would definitely stay here again.
