We drove through here as we were staying in the area in a different RV park. The sites are very private, but very few will accommodate a large fifth wheel. These are the sites numbers that were situated at a good angle for maneuvering a large fifth wheel into a back-in, AND were wide enough and high enough (tree limbs) for the 13'4" height and opposing slides. Most of them seemed to be at the back end of the loop, as you were making the turn and could then back up and have room for the tow vehicle do its job.
Coquina: 114, 120, 123, 131 & 137
Sand Dollar: 57 & 69
Sea Urchin: 80 & 83
There may be others, this list isn't exhaustive!

Easy beach access from the campground, about 1/2 mile from Coquina loop.
Fair 5G AT&T cell service, 2-3 bars: RSPR about -110 boosted to -70. 15 usable HDTV channels.
Has a 3 lane dump station for a quick exit.
St Augustine is close by, with many restaurants and grocery stores. We walked from Coquina loop south on the beach to restaurants, about 2.5 mile round trip.

Do take note that as of summer 2021, there is an extra $7/night surcharge for utilities added to the $28 nightly fee. Still cheap for the value you get here! Perhaps this will help make this park a little less popular and easier to snag a site at?
We had excellent cellular service on all the major carriers with streamable speeds.

Anastasia State Park is the perfect meld of a tourist-friendly city and a state park campground. Located almost wholly within the city of St Augustine, the state park’s principal advantage is its location. It sits privately on the ocean between St Augustine and St Augustine Beach, and you can be in either city in 5 or 10 minutes.
But once inside the state park boundary, you are sequestered in a world of old Florida growth forest bounded by wide and vast coastline beaches.
The campground consists of 6 loops, some more able to accommodate larger rigs, while others smaller. Honestly, the campground area in and of itself is very similar to many other FL state parks. Some loops have a bit more space between sites than others, but overall it’s extremely well maintained and crafted.
A water sport facility provides rentals of kayaks, paddle boards, and other watercraft for use in the lagoon on the interior side of the dunes, while an extensive grill, store, and picnic area can be found adjacent to the beach.
But the biggest advantage is proximity to the greater St. Augustine area. There are endless opportunities for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing. The St Augustine lighthouse is a 3 minute drive outside the front gate, and St. George St. and the historic district of old town is 10 minutes away.
In the hierarchy of FL State Parks, Anastasia is easily in the top 5.

It is very close to a beautiful beach that you can walk, ride your bike, or drive your vehicle to. You can easily bike into the Old part of St. Augustine from here. You can avoid the main streets if desired, just look at a map before your set out. It is close to the lighthouse, which gives you a gorgeous view of the peninsula. (There is a charge to go up the light house). Sites book up well in advance, however, there must be cancellations, as we saw many sites open. There are some walking trails.

We originally were looking for a spot that could accommodate our 30 ft airstream, this spot state park is always full that we settled on the first spot we could find. Which meant no airstream this time, so we brought our loft! A roof top tent on our truck! First day we rode our bikes into town to see the fort. Only a 2 mile ride, flat, across the bridge and to the fort! Second day rode bikes around all the loops in the park and checked out the beach! Sites all with water and 30 amps. Very clean comfort stations. Check out is 11am, but you can pull your rig or vehicle out of your site and still enjoy the park all day by parking over in the lot or side parking.

Really pretty park with private sites. Super nice playground and an easy walk or bike ride to the beach. Beach had lots of shells! Very quiet and had water and electric. Had Verizon service but not enough to use my hot spot to work.

We loved our very private site on the coquina loop— though with it being right by the bathroom / laundry and playground — there was a lot of foot traffic and noise. However — it would be perfect if you want to be right by these facilities this would be a perfect spot.
Coquina loop was the closest to the beach — easy walk or bike ride. It was also closest to the nature trail south entrance — perfect for dog walks.
Perfect location for easy access to both St Augustine and St Augustine Beach. You could ride bikes to the lighthouse and several shops and restaurants without touching the busy main road (A1A) — though A1A does have a bike lane.
Close to Ron Parker Park which has an excellent dog park — dogs can’t be off leash in Anastasia and aren’t allowed in the beach in Anastasia, so this was a quick drive to let them run out some energy. Dogs are allowed on all the public beaches in St Aug Beach.
Excellent food and restaurants nearby — we loved the Creative Juices Natural Cafe, BurritoWorks Tacos, the Floridian in St Aug for a date and Coneheads for ice cream.
We are full timers and work on the road doing tons of live video classes and calls. We have Verizon hotspots—
Download speeds 20-30 Mbps
Upload speeds 3-5 Mbps
*Great for small / routine live video conferences/calls, but don’t plan to do your largest ever video conference to a large crowd if you want to stay here and not have Zoom cut out on you

The biggest down side was the heat, although we went in December, tent camping is kind of tough without portable AC and a box fan. Other than that, it was good times at Anastasia State Park.

Went there once a year since 2007. The last time was about 3 weeks after the hurricane in 2017. Could not leave the RV without getting eaten by mosquitoes.
The problem with this campground is that you hardly ever get a site, they are taken for many month ahead. I gave up on it, will not go back there...
