Our last two nights away from home after two months on the road. Tennessee to California. Boondocking, Harvest Hosts, KOA resorts, country club resorts - and this is the best of all. Thank you, USACOE.

The camp host, Daniel, is awesome. He is constantly out in the campground blowing off sites and the road. He’s the workingest ( if there’s such a word😜) host we’ve seen in a long time. He’s friendly and takes time to visit. He’s a great asset to the campground!!!
I have C-Spire cell phone and had 4 bars- no problem with phone service either.
We will be back!!

After reading the reviews here we decided to stop at this campground on our way south. It was for one night only, and it fit the job perfect for the price. Full concrete slabs for even bigger rigs. Lots of trees and foliage. Most sites have water views, but be aware the big lake is actually way lower during some months. In early December the lake was way low, but the smaller “pond” was a good view. We stayed on site 88, nice fire ring looking over the pond. All the sites around the pond would be great, even across the street would have amazing views! We walked the park in the morning and you could walk on the lakebed if you wish. Quiet park day and night, but not sure if they have a busier season. We saw a park employee driving around doing maintenance. We didn’t check out any of the amenities such as bathrooms. About 12 mins from Grenada, which isn’t much for activities but all your necessities & restaurants.

Our all-time favorite Park Ranger, Jimmy Williams, works here. Open all year. Did I mention we love it?

We are bummed that we could only stay one night! This place is great! Verizon is slow...if that’s crucial. Spaced out sites all with level concrete pad. Most have space for multiple vehicles. Many have water views! We like sites 64, 88, 12, 17, and 30! But really there’s no bad site! If you’re not on the water, you have a beautiful secluded wooded view like sites 27 and 31! The drive from 55 was easy to navigate. 333 is a little curvy for a big rig, but fine. The campground is easy to navigate with any size rig, but check the map ahead of time for your site location. There’s no check in office. So when we arrived we needed to find our site ourselves on foot. There’s not a great pull off spot to do this. Not a big deal, but when you are over 60 feet long, it’s hard to just “wander”. Even though it was spring break with lots of families, it was surprisingly quiet. We will definitely be back!!!!

We were in site #27 and loved how it was tucked back into the pines. I had plenty of room with a 34' trailer and my F250. We did not use the bath house, so I can't comment on that. The dump station was plenty adequate and allowed us to rinse our black tank and winterize before heading back home.
Sprint 5G at 4-5 bars!

Our third time here. Large, level concrete pad. Full hookups. Plenty of shade. About 10 channels of over-the-air TV. Under 15 minute drive to WalMart etc. Outstanding cell coverage. Nice breeze off the lake, haven’t seen a mosquito yet. Very quiet. Reservation posted at site, no check in required.
