It was a Concrete slab with a packed gravel patio. Utilities were 50 and 30 amp power and water located at the left side. We had a table, fire pit, raised grill a post to hang your lantern on if needed. The sites were nicely spaced.
There are no restaurants or services within walking distance but a short drive to the City of Grenada has all the amenities needed.
We paid $20 per night and felt we received good value for our dollar. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

Awesome. We were looking for Hugh White State Park and just bumbled into the North Abutment. Nice bumble!
The hosts came out to help, even though it was pretty late. Very friendly and you can’t beat the price. The morning view from our door was of the manmade lake complete with water birds. Lovely place.

We found this park to be among the best. Friendly camp host greeted us right away and offered info on the park. The COE planned this park well. Scenic and functional. If you are a “birdie”you will enjoy the sights and sounds.

You can’t go wrong at this park, this is the newest section of camp sites and was very well laid out. You will not feel cramped at any of these sites.
18 is also located next to the park pavilion that hosts some local entertainment at times and also has a sunrise service once a month hosted by local churches on a Sunday morning. Gather all the wood you want along the lakefront, easy to get at for the nightly fire ring lighting.
Good cell coverage but no internet without using a hotspot or satellite. Some are full hookups, this one is partial and the dump station is easy access as you leave out.
Some sites actually have their own private smaller lake with a fishing pier if you are interested. Ours had just the right amount of sun and shade, well maintained grounds. The only negative is that the restrooms, which are conveniently located throughout, all need updated. The closest one to us has seen better days.
Super quiet, very relaxing and the town has just about anything that you would need. Highly recommend the North Abutment Campgrounds!

The front was a bit steep, but the cement pad was nice and level. Spacious seating area outside and no sites close to us. The spaciousness of each of the sites is wonderful; extremely large spaces between them. Very quiet and a short drive off I-55. Definitely worth the drive.
Some sites seem a bit unlevel, but the main RV parking area on the cement pads appear fairly level. Ours was quite level as we parked near the rear to avoid the slope in the front. It easily accommodated our 35' ffith wheel and long dually. Probably had room for a couple vehicles in front of us in the site.

The camp hosts are very nice people and are constantly tending to the park. The bathrooms aren't in the best condition but are extremely clean. The showers are hot.
When you first enter the park, the old sites are on the right. While a bit closer together, they appear to all be in excellent condition. Past them on the left is a loop around a man made lake with several pull throughs. These are very nice and spacious sites. Going past this loop is another set of sites that we stayed at. Most of these are back-in with just a few pull throughs. All sites offered views of the lake (or lake bottom as the water level is very low at the time of this review) and wild life is plentiful - we saw deer every day.
The loop that we stayed at offered 20, 30, and 50 amp service with water. The park has 2 dump stations that are easily accessible. While here, we noticed a group of gentlemen doing some surveying. It appears that they are in the process of putting sewer connections to, at least, some of the sites. This will be an amazing addition!
AT&T has a strong signal here. In fact, our booster caused us to slow down because the AT&T signal was so good. We routinely got 20 to 30 megs down with just our hotspot (no booster). T-Mobile is a close second.
