Biggest complaint was the loud obnoxious campers partying until after hours and then having nerve enough to be yelling a campers for disturbing them at 0830. Park rules say no alcohol and quiet after 1100pm. Camp
host is not doing their job. Would never stay here again.

Weird vibe here with the host. When we arrived a Class C was in our spot. Turns out it was a CG co-host. They went to check with the main host who came over and kind of acted like we were at fault and implying there was enough room for both of us. The co-host did move and the camp host stopped by the next day and apologized. Never really felt welcome here. No hiking without a drive and the St. Marks NWR is not to be missed with it's abundunant wildlife. On a 6 mile hike we saw over 50 alligators and a family of wild hogs and untold birds.
The sites all seemed level, though there is zero privacy and a few of them are very close together. Solar production was tough here due to the trees, and some of the sites would have worked with Starlink but not ours. We did have decent T-Mobile service though. The dump station and bathhouse was fine, just a bit dated. There is a fair amount of noise from the highway.
It was an okay stop, but I would not stay here again.

We arrived at this campsite at 9pm with no reservation due to a roadwork detour and the camp host was so friendly and set us up with a nice campsite. The sites are close together but everyone was friendly. The facilities were clean and a great price $15 for rent. We would definitely stay here again.

We took a boat tour at nearby Wakulla state park (made reservation online $7 pp) and saw alligators, turtles, manatees and many water birds. Park has swim area by springs, an active lodge built in 1930’s and hiking trails. Next day rode bikes around St Marks, toured the fort and stopped at shell island fish camp (and RV Park) where you can rent fishing boats. Saw tarpon go after fish heads as they were cleaning them. Had lunch at riverside restaurant (also has $25 dry camping available on river - was empty). And also rode bikes on a portion of the 22 mile St Mark-Tallahassee rail-to-trail path. Did not even have time to go see a beautiful lighthouse! If you want to experience “backcountry Florida”, this is it. Don’t forget to buy and eat some boiled peanuts from a roadside stand :-)

Stayed here to be close to Tallahassee and explore St. Mark's Wildlife Preserve. Made reservations with camp host Bette for 3 nights then extended our stay while there for a total of 6 nights (our rate reflects weekly rate, although we left a day early...cash or check only). Older campground with a few campsites for larger rigs (site 20 fit our 33' 5th wheel + truck and was water/elect, dump nearby), picnic table, and fire pit (no wood sold onsite). Quite a few resident campers in park but everyone was friendly. Great location...30 minutes to Tallahassee and 10 minutes to St. Mark's Wildlife Preserve where we saw gators, bald Eagles, and the light house. Sits on the St. Mark's River that we kayaked a few times and saw manatees and bald Eagles. Only con was it sits next to hwy 98 that was busy at times, including overnight one night, but otherwise quiet with birds singing in the morning. Bathhouse was clean but older and well used throughout the day by campers and travelers passing by. Verizon worked well enough for a few Zoom meetings.

Bette (campground host) took great care of us!
As others have stated, a good County run campground right across from St. Mark’s. Lots of hiking and nature.
We had water and electric and dumped on the way out.

A great location with nearby boat ramp, boardwalk down to the river and quick access to Edward Ball Wakulla State Park (be sure to take the river boat cruise!) as well as other area attractions. I didn’t use the bathhouse but it was clean. The park has a few full timers but everyone I met was friendly. Looking forward to staying here again.

No Vacancy sign displayed continuously. Park open to public for free day use, picnic tables, electric, restrooms. Showers for registered campers. I drove my SUV camper into the park to read the signs and check it out. Very friendly camp host walked up to me after a few minutes, and I explained that I needed a place to dry camp. Full hookup $27; water & electric only, $22; electric only (primitive), $11. Hard-packed dirt or grass. Wooded natural setting. Got a semi-secluded shady primitive site with big trees and woods behind me. Plenty of room for 2 cars and a big tent. Parked my vehicle between my and neighbor’s site, so had great privacy. Mostly quiet, but an occasional truck on the highway is loud. Bathhouse is rustic, like at youth summer camp. Boardwalk to the river overlook. Wash station for fish and dishwashing. Dumpster near wash station very stinky! Fire pit and picnic table at every site. About 30 sites. Driveway a little tight for big rigs. Adjacent boat ramp open 24 hours, so perhaps a quiet vehicle could park overnight undetected.
