I haven’t had many campgrounds that I can say that I’d never stay at again, but this was absolutely one of them. Where do I start?
The road into the campground is a one level road with blind corners, so if another rig is coming, one of you has to back up or cars have to move to the side. Once you reach the turn to enter the campground, you are met with a very tight turn over an 11 ton max. bridge. (We are just under 13 tons!) It was either go on or back out along the narrow one lane road. I went to talk to the owner at the manager’s office and he told me he’s had 20 ton rigs go over that bridge no problem and ones that were even longer than us. I made the decision to try it, but it was tight and I didn’t linger.
Once we were in, the site was easily found, but it was very, very difficult for our 40′ fifth wheel to make the tight turn onto the narrow, gravel pad. We had to ask our neighbor to move their car several times as we tried a driver’s side turn first, then turned it around to try a blind side turn. Cutting over the grass we eventually made it into our spot, but no room to straighten out, which is why we were half on and half off the pad. We are fulltime RVers and have been to 100 campgrounds, literally. If we wouldn’t have been on the end, I seriously doubt we could have made it into the site.
We hooked up to shore power and set up, but we immediately got a low voltage error and it kept shutting off the surge suppressor. Since it was late, we had to run our generator for the remainder of the night until quiet hours to have enough power to make it to morning. We reported it in the morning and they apologized and changed out the breaker and GFCI plug and it seem to fix the problem. After that, we continued to get a buzzing sound to our computer’s power supply and fireplace (two high powered devices).
The water was fine, but the dump was difficult to access with our rig. In fact we determined that there was no way we could get it down there without having to back up a muddy gravel area, just to get it close enough to dump. Bad design, unfortunately. Instead of going through that, we used the tote take to make a couple runs and dump all our tanks before leaving and getting as light as we could before crossing the 11 ton bridge again.
Starlink was sketchy in this location and we had only 1 bar on Verizon on the phone. With AT&T and Verizon through the cell antenna on the roof, we were able to get 4 bars, but it constantly dropped out.
The good part of this place was that the people running the campground were nice and tried to help out as they could. It sounded like they were aware of the problems, and had a plan to work on them, but as of this time, I would not recommend this campground for larger rigs, probably nothing over 25-30′.

Luckily we had a cinder block and plenty of leveling blocks with us. The staff were very friendly and they had firewood for sale for a reasonable price. The location is great if you’re looking to hike and see any of the sights at Natural Bridge. Bathrooms and shower facilities are gross. The pond is stocked and provided some entertainment. If you’re looking for a nice level RV site I’d go down the road to one of the more well maintained campgrounds, but I’m sure they cost more.

Stayed here because the state park was booked. I was thankful we found a spot close to trails. Checking in was easy. Was met at the registration building by the attendant who informed us things were a little hectic right now due to the campground recently changing owners. The sites were fairly close together, but not too bad. The sites along the outside of the campground were very muddy. At the sites stating 120volts the electric is actually shared between two sites, so make sure you bring a splitter, and be prepared to flip the breaker. We didn't run into any issues until we tried to run the a/c units in two different campers at the same time. The site we had backed up to a small stream which was nice. There are some nicer sites along the outside of the campground. The fishing pond was a joke, completely covered in algae. There is no camp store. They do sell firewood by the wheel barrel, only charging $20. Luckily we weren't at the campground much, spending most the day hiking. It is in a good location close to several trails. The attendant would leave around 9pm and then there was no one to supervise the campground. Only ran into one issue where some people renting out of the larger cabins came tearing through the campground going around 60mph, blaring their stereo and yelling out the window, it didn't sit well with me. The bathroom were decent/poor condition. The men and woman shared both a restroom and bath house. The showers were in individual rooms which were a decent size, but the shower stall itself was very small. They had no drains on the floor so water would pool up badly. It is fairly close to the highway and you do you get some residual noise but it's not terrible.

The campground is overall in good shape. We came during the middle of the week so the grass was a little longer then we wished it was but overall nothing to complain about. The campground is one big loop, with most of the sites on the inside of loop. I was able to work, and have a video conference with zero interruptions in cell service with AT&T.
The staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We asked if we could have a slightly later checkout on Sunday so we could do some hiking in the nearby Red River Gorge and they were more then happy to help us out.
It’s super nice that they provide free wifi, but it isn’t fast enough to rely on for a video conference, loading high bandwidth apps and such. Fine for checking email and social media.

This campground was alright - But it had everything we needed. We arrived Friday night around 12:30am. There were signs saying quiet time started at 10pm, but I could not find anything about that online. The owner helped us find our site which was nice. My wife and I stayed here 3 night and really enjoyed our stay. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros:
Amazing location! 2 miles from Natural Bridges and 6 from Red River Gorge.
Had everything we needed - electrical, water, shower and bathroom.
Campsites were decent sized.
Everyone was super friendly!
Nice cabins that can be rented!
Anything from primitive to full hookup (minus sewer).
Cons:
Bathrooms were fairly nice and cleaned daily, but people didn’t appreciate them and often trashed the showerhouses with mud.
Not much for kids to do.
Pond was very overgrown with algae.
Close enough to the highway that you can hear trucks throughout the night.

Stayed a long weekend here to enjoy the hikes and scenery. I was extremely pleased with the campground layout, the staff, and the location. Only setback was the electric kept going out here-and-there. You could tell they were in the process of replacing water lines and electric. Every time a breaker “flipped”, staff were back out getting it back on. More of a nuisance than anything (because it was so hot outside). Electric was never off for more than 30 minutes. After two days of this, staff drove to our campsite and offered us an entire weekend for free whenever we choose for the electrical inconvenience. We were very please and will definitely be coming back, after the water lines and electric lines are replaced.
