Great Stop Along The Road. We arrived around 7 pm with our overlander and found the 3rd stop. Pretty leveled, quiet and clean. No signal with Verizon. Would def come back

There were a few trailers with ATVs. We would have crawled down to a creekside site, but we had to leave early in the morning so we chose a clear high spot that backed up to a foot trail or possibly bicycle. The top of the hill was a fish eye view of the snow capped mountains and a huge rock cave that I worried could house a bear. Use safety and caution when you are out in the wild. Across the road my dog dipped in Trout Creek. He loves drinking from running water.

This area is accessible to any size rig, as evidenced by the number of toy haulers in the area. Each site is large and fairly level, suitable for large groups. The area was busy, with OAV and traffic while we were there. Not a place to go for peace and quite. Most sites are sunny but a few are treed.
We had no Verizon or AT&T coverage in this area. Some sites may be suitable for Starlink.

Being so close to the highway, I was worried about noise, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. The site was fantastic and with the little stream running through, it was great for the dog and kids to play in. I would camp here again, if there was some road maintenance done. I am only giving it an average rating because of the road. It was seriously washboard and rutted to the point that I had to reattach curtain balances and tighten screws on door tracks when we got to the campsite. If they don’t fix the road, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze to get to the campsite.

Camped here after checking out some other more crowded spots around Buena Vista. Glad we did. We ended up just past the cattle guard on FR 308. There's a dozen or so sites, maybe more, along 308. Camped here after checking out some other more crowded spots around Buena Vista. Glad we did. We ended up just past the cattle guard on FR 308. There's a dozen or so sites, maybe more, along 308. FR 307 has a half dozen sites or so but near the highway. There is a nice stream full of wary trout along 307 too.
On the upside, plenty of mostly level spots, some quite large, on weekdays and even some spots open on a weekend in July. Close to Buena Vista for shopping, dining, gas, etc. Great dump station and fresh water down the highway in Poncha Springs too. Plus, it's friggin' beautiful up here.
On the downside, no Verizon and very sketchy AT&T. Even boosted, AT&T was fading in and out all day, sometimes able to stream and others, nothing at all. There's also some highway noise, lots of flies and quite a bit of traffic along 308. Save the lack of cell service, all pretty mild annoyances.
Overall, a nice area unless you need solid connectivity.

There are tons of spots here, although the Fourmile map only shows one camp spur on this road. The Main spur is pretty cool, down off the road, on a bluff, with enough room for 3-5 campers or Rvs depending on size. All the rest of the spots pale in comparison to the higher part of 308, or anything on 315 or 305 or 376. One spot is right next to a cow grate that clangs everytime you drive over it. I can't imagine camping right there. Blech!

CR307 an CR308 (very nice dirt/gravel roads, clearly marked on highway) both have numerous pullouts along the dirt road for dispersed camping. They vary greatly in quality. The ones closest to Buena Vista on CR307 are spaced far apart and have large pullouts along the river. The further North East you go on CR307 the closer to the highway you get so noise will become a larger issue. It was Memorial Day Weekend when I drove through here, with just about every spot taken with large camps and four-wheelers.
No cell signal, sorry.
