I love this small campground, the lot sizes, the mature trees and of course the creek running through. Owners are beyond helpful and nice. Would stay again. Also free bbq dinner from owners on Saturdays. All sites are full hookup and free WiFi (no cell signal). Bathhouse is eh-okay. Needs remodeled but we all have our own showers... more

Bathhouse is eh-okay. Needs remodeled but we all have our own showers/toilet anyway.
Nearby places uncles Asheville, black mountain, Boone, Linville, mount Mitchell, and lake James.

Really aggressive turns and switchbacks for 6 miles prior to getting to park. Really pretty when you get their as described but the six miles leading up to the site has sharp turns and in trimmed foliage. First major scratches in 10 years of class A driving, ugh. Really pretty when you get their as described but the six miles leading up to the site has sharp turns and in trimmed foliage. First major scratches in 10 years of class A driving, ugh. Once you are there they will trim brush upon request, but don’t do it proactively. If you have a small trailer, great spot.

Small park and tight sites. Clean park and beautiful on fast moving stream. The water is noisey but some people might find that relaxing. Owners are very nice! Drive in is a little treacherous so be careful and watch for low trees. I would stay here again if needed but I prefer more space between neighbors.

There is an enclosed area for pets and many other things within the small loop. Arrived two days after Labor Day and things have probably calmed a bit. The one thing cool they are doing is offering a couple of campers for rent as well as Yurts.
What I really loved was being on the creek and hearing the water flow, it was very soothing and within view of camper windows. Also Ted seem easily accessible and many offer shrubbery between sites. Overall it’s tastefully done and I plan to return many more times!!!

Camped in a travel trailer. Awesome location near BRP and close enough to Asheville and Marion. Park is really the right size and quiet. The hosts were great, and the steams and sites all seem to be 4 star on the creek. Just made reservations and we got the last creek side space for this October for two weeks. Cant wait. We really enjoyed camping here. The camp ground is small, quaint, no permanent residents, sotes back up to a lovely stream with trout fishing, and the landscaping is tastefully done. We didn’t feel crammed in nor was it noisy. Lost of adults, just a few children. We really liked the community BBQ on Saturday night and loved that we could watch UNC baseball on the big screen TV. The campground is also close to excellent mountain biking In Pisgah and the town of Old Fort which was our primary reason for staying here. Lastly we ran into old friends who also just bought an airstream. We will be back!
