Hard to get to in an RV. There’s an open spot on the way up that has some tent camping and a big dirt parking lot. Nice view here..

Overall Rating

We went to this location June 28th 2024 in our 2014 Prius. This location is beautiful and full of wildlife. To get to this location we took Mt Herman Rd from Monument Co. The road is dirt and had some ruts but our Prius was able to make it fine. Once you get up to the actual camp sight is when the ruts get so deep we couldn’t go any further back. If you have 4x4 and decent clearance you will be able to go as far as you want but with our limited clearance we had to camp in the front few spots.

Overall we will be staying again it wasn’t terrible busy but we did have some kids in jeeps come through at 11pm just messing around. Trash wasn’t terrible, I cleaned up an extra bag of what people left behind and there was the occasional broken bottle. Please pack out what you pack in. Also due to the trash/food the fox come around seeing if you left anything out:)
