We arrived for a 2 night stay to see Monument Valley after a very large rain downpour. Location is extremely clean, including the showers, bathroom & laundry. Dog park is small, we didn’t even use it for our two 50# dogs, but it is clean and stocked with doggy bags. Playground area for the kids was nice, if you have little ones. Only place to walk is around the KOA rows as you are literally in the middle of nowhere among gorgeous views. Internet was not functioning for our entire two days, very disappointing. Wireless on AT&T was 2 bars on LTE. Sites are pretty close together but we had a back outer site; you can’t really enjoy the lovely views with so many packed in rigs. Front desk gal was very reserved and not overly communicative but stepped in to help with the Tribal Tour we booked which wasn’t on time to pick us up. Did I mention Monument Valley (which is on Tribal Land) closed due to the downpour of rain and the following morning was iffy for tours (too bad they failed to appropriately get in touch with those who previously paid). Only Tribal tours were allowed in the park, we did finally get picked up and saw the Valley. Coming from Zion and Bryce we were a little underwhelmed. After being on the road for over 3 weeks we decided not to drive down to Valley of the Gods, approximately 30 miles further down the road. Two nights were a bit much for us here; it was way too windy to sit outside for most of the stay; the last evening we had the nicest weather to enjoy our evening dog walk. We were actually bored, just our opinion!

Gorgeous vistas….if you can see it through the rigs crammed in close together. I imagine if your on the outside loop it may be better. For $100+ a night definitely not worth it. Nothing to shout about. It’s more like a dirt pull off on the hwy.

Overall a good location almost in the middle of Monument Valley.
- Staff was very good.
- Rest rooms/shower facilities were a little small for the number of sites, but clean.
- Onsite WiFi was fairly good.
- Sites were adequate.
- Although next to the highway, did not hear the road noise at night.

We stopped here in-between Boondocking Moab and Sedona. Peaceful place to dump, get water, and do laundry. We were surprised how good the cell phone coverage was 3 bars on at & t. Good enough to hotspot a multi hour meeting on zoom over the phone.
Facilities were clean, great views, and friendly service.

What a great guy, so welcoming. My husband went in to get something and must have hung out for 30 mins talking to Charley. Very knowledgeable about the area and was super helpful when I told him we were heading to Colorado to look at potential places to relocate. Will definitely go back and recommend this places.

We stayed here in middle September for two nights. The views of Monument Valley are the best thing about this place. The lady at the front desk while doing her job made it clear customer service wasn’t her “thing”. The other complaint was that it took way longer than it should to get warm water in the showers and it only stayed warm for a few minutes before turning cold again…this was at 10am when most of the customers had already left. Also they have a motion Sensor on the lights in the bathroom, they don’t pick up movement in the shower area so the light go out in you half way through your shower. And thirdly- while this isn’t a KOA issue and not anything they can do anything about, just be aware that Native peoples have different thinking on pets. They tend not to neuter them or fence or leash them so you have lots of random dog’s wandering everywhere. They seem to be well fed (not super skinny or sick) and they (usually) tend to avoid the tourists so it’s hard to tell if they are “strays” or if they are “owned” by someone near by and just out for a walk about. But if you have pets (or a fear of dogs) it might be a little concerning.

Looked like the KOA has better views than Goulding's up the road.

We opted to get for a campground as we neared Monument Valley after having spent the night prior near Lake Powell with rain, snow & high winds while boondocking. We needed to dump our 3 - 40 gal tanks & fill the 100 gal fresh water tank along with being able to take nice long hot showers and doing some laundry. Called and was told only open spot was a "premium" - so we took it, with military discount it was $68. Sadly, the premium site was in the back corner which meant all the spectacular views were blocked by all the other filled spots. We were right across from dog area which worked out great, our dogs don't like being leashed up and aren't very often. It was nice not being near the highway, but not sure how much road noise there is out there after quiet hours anyways.
Premium sites have a nice paver patio, upgraded fire ring, picnic table and full hook-ups. The bathrooms, showers and the laundry room were very clean. Women's shower water temps kept fluctuating but men's didn't, per husband.
We fell in love with the MV area and decided to see if we could stay another night. We could but would have to move to a different space. This site was smaller and had full hook-ups, picnic table, not as nice fire ring and no "patio". It was $56 w/military discount Again not in the best location for views as there was another row closer to the highway, thus blocking sights.
Easy walk from both spots to get the full view of surroundings. The man in the office as well as the man working around the property were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Nice little playground for those with kids and a little open grass area for tossing a frisbee or ball or ??? They offer tours, horseback trail rides and jeep rentals also.
Will definitely check out the other cg's should we opt to stay in one in this area again. Can't say how this compares to Goulding's CG but price was about double what Gouldings charges for the night.
Had a couple of people who seem to be afraid of the dark. Door lights and lights strung under camper and along awnings all night long.

The campground was clean, the staff was friendly, my kids enjoyed the playground. We wish we would have had more time to spend here exploring the area. We’d definitely return to this campground again. The cell service in the area is terrible, which in a place like this is to be expected. The WiFi worked, but was also a little sluggish. If you had to do work online from this location, that might be challenging.
