( storm a few days prior). 2nd site Electric didn’t work ( they got someone on it quickly, blown breaker) we took a “primitive “ site that had regular electrical & water. Wasn’t level. We have 21’ van. Fire pit was good. Lots of downed wood for fires. The bathroom building was covered with cobwebs & bugs, inside & out. Facilities are old but work well. Good pressure & hot water. Hand soap & paper towels in bathroom. . You get a code for shower door on one side but other side shower has no lock. The store was nice. Prices weren’t too terrible. The nature walk is very nice. Probably beautiful in season. Museum is interesting but the smell is off putting. Smells like it’s been flooded a few times. Good campground for visiting surrounding area but once you do the nature walk there isn’t anything else to do at campgrounds. No bike riding. For $22 , it’s worth it. Probably not as muddy in summer.

This park was so quiet and really clean. Good drinking water. Shower room was small but clean and lots of water pressure. The sites are spacious but not really level. Lots of gray area for running in. The nature trail was well maintained and interesting. The museum had a great rock collection.

The sites are not quite level. For most, they are level enough, but, with a truck camper, we decided to lower the legs and lift off the bed to level. Not really a problem, but just something we had not planned on doing. We then considered completely unhooking and going into town, but, the site concerned me in that I was not confident that it was level and unbumpy enough to get the truck back under the camper safely. Again, with a different camper, I doubt there would be an issue, but for us it was.
The primitive sites had several tent campers, looked like a good set up. Facility had pavilions. The gift shop was worth spending some time in. The trail through the forest was very nice. Apparently it's a popular destination. We could see the shop/trail entrance from our site and there was a steady stream of traffic.
The coupling on our sewer was a bit crumpled, so our fitting would not thread to it. But, it worked without issue.

The only downside I would say is I went shortly after a winter snow storm just passed and the ground was very wet and muddy. My RV and truck got stuck in he spot I was in resulting in one of the legs of my RV needing repair.
Besides that, the staff was very friendly and the little gift shop they have at the front was full of interesting souvenirs. It was very easy to find and the restrooms though pretty old and rustic were clean.

For our site (pull-through), the water and electric (30 and 50 amp) were across from each other (not on the same side). Not a big deal for us but might be for some. The site was sandy and not level, but we had no problem getting our rig level. The one shower was clean (with a few spider webs in the corners), and it had The Best Water Pressure I’ve ever experienced!!! Excellent surprise! Staff was friendly.

The trail was a mile'ish walk... we took our time. If you camp, they only charge you $5 each oppose to $7 adult, $6 child. You have to go through the visitor building to start the trail. You end back at the building to go through the 'museum'. It's small, gems & fossils.
There are about 4 tent spots, seems mostly an rv area.
It's a small area, not much hiking trails which made me sad but not a big deal since i was only spending one night there. I guess we could have explored the woods, which we kind of did to get firewood.
Campsites have a fire circle with attached grill grate.
There is a bathroom, and shower- pretty simple but clean. It's not far from tent spots.
