Overall Rating
This is a wonderful spot. It’s a big campground, spacious sites that aren’t too close together. Wildflowers everywhere! We had good cell coverage with AT&T. We tried to extend our stay but they were booked. I’d definitely come back if we are in the area again.

This is such a beautiful park down in the valley. Very little to no cell coverage. Many trails clearly marked, some challenging with terrific bluff views. There's a beach and swimming area. We stayed in the newer campground Minnieska with clean shower house and level, gravel sites. Family oriented and quiet, even the ranger came ... more
This is such a beautiful park down in the valley. Very little to no cell coverage. Many trails clearly marked, some challenging with terrific bluff views. There's a beach and swimming area. We stayed in the newer campground Minnieska with clean shower house and level, gravel sites. Family oriented and quiet, even the ranger came by just after 10pm and kindly asked we turn off the music (which was low). Minnieska is a newer established campground so has a little less trees and more prairie. Well maintained. There is a small town named Elba 2 miles down the road (easy bike ride). 2 bars, small restaurant and gas station are there. Highly recommend Whitewater State Park.

What a lovely park. In October it was quiet and nice in the week. All sites with an "e" designation have electric. We stayed in the Minneiska Campground which consists of 4 loops. The shower house was very new but the showers were luke warm at best. The handicap shower stall on side of the building opposite of the trash dumpsters ... more
What a lovely park. In October it was quiet and nice in the week. All sites with an "e" designation have electric.
We stayed in the Minneiska Campground which consists of 4 loops.
The shower house was very new but the showers were luke warm at best. The handicap shower stall on side of the building opposite of the trash dumpsters had the warmest water of them all. But the room heaters were almost non-existant.
Aside from that, the campsite was level and gravel, with paved roads to the sites.
216e backed up to the woods so it had an abundance of privacy. Some sites back up to each other in the inner circle, and are less that private, all though there is some brush and trees in between, just depending on the time of year, there is more or less foliage.
We would gladly stay here again and spend more time to do some fly fishing.

We have been spending a few nights in the Minnesota White Water State Park the first week in July. It is a smaller park with a lot of very well-maintained campsites. We have been spending a few nights in the Minnesota White Water State Park the first week in July. It is a smaller park with a lot of very well-maintained campsites. The Park has a swimming area with a nice beach that the kids from the campground enjoy. The sites numbered 200 and above are in a new camping section and are surrounded by wild flowers and small walnut trees. The showers and restroom facilities are the nicest I’ve ever come across in a state park. The sites are level with plenty of room between them. For us this is a good place to park the rig while we explore the country side and get a few miles on the bikes.
No mosquitoes, but biting fly's when we were there.
