Let's start with the cons: The fire pits were a hole in the ground, which you have to be careful around, because when it's not lit, can be a hazard. This was also one of the most expensive campgrounds we have ever stayed in, with that in mind, there was also still a lot of nickel and dime-ing. The showers were coin operated and the bathrooms needed a lot of updating. We stayed in July, and the campground was absolutely packed. The lots were also ill-defined. They were just grass spots that weren't very designated. Now the pros: There are a lot of kid-friendly options here. A sand pit, a creek to tube down, a general store with all kinds of snacks and a large in-ground pool. We also enjoyed how close the Whitewater River was and how easy it was to access with our kayaks. The camp staff was also very friendly and helpful. While the Verizon signal was non existent, they had WiFi available at the general store that worked well.

Quiet little campground out in the middle of nowhere. It’s close enough to Rochester, MN to make it convenient for visiting the Mayo Clinic. There is zero Verizon service and excellent AT&T service. They also shut the water off in the middle of October so it’s dry camping with electric only until they close at the end of November. Staff is very friendly. We’ll stay here again when visiting the Mayo Clinic.
No More Sticks and Bricks would stay here again
