There is a burnt out pick up truck with many remaining things that gives an eerie feeling. However, we felt safe and stayed two nights. Good spot for passing through.

I drove through here early on a Saturday afternoon. The road in was gravel with a bit of washboard but not bad at all. I think there have been some recent heavy rains here as you could see where sections of road had some debris washed up but this was mostly cleared when I drove in. The camp itself was completely full. In one site there were multiple vehicles and even more people. One site was filled with a burnt out pick up truck with propane tanks and everything else left in a huge pile of charred garbage. I guess this is a hunting camp because I saw a lady in camo remove a huge military style rifle from her off-roader and carry it into her trailer. Even if there has been a spot available, I wouldn’t have stayed. Too many people in a very small space and burnt out pickups are not my idea of eye candy. YMMV

Delightful campsites, but surprised there was no sign where road left highway. One other camper. Two clean outhouses. Gravel road in good shape. Stream flowing along side the camping area. Two bars of ATT LTE.

Stayed here 1 night while heading south. This campground is 4 miles off the highway on a wide well maintained gravel road. The site was level and long enough to stay connected. Camped at the foothills next to a small creek and large Cottonwood tree.

Great location for stopover. Clean and quiet, but looks like a recent fire clobbered to big old cottonwoods. Upper sites tucked against hill provide some shelter from strong SW winds.

Came in at night and the morning the scene was somewhat apocalyptic. Smoky due to CA fires and it appeared there had been a fire there at some point. Bare dirt hills with burned sticks left, big trees that had been burned and cut down, big mining trucks that started driving down the road behind campground early in the morning, cows wandering around trying to scrounge up food from the small amount of grass there and cow poop everywhere.
That being said, we were glad to find it after a 12 hour drive. Plenty of sites available, most were fairly level, sites had tables and fire rings, the creek behind camp ran clear and some big trees did remain by the creek. It’s about 4 miles on a dirt road that is in fairly good shape if a bit washboard. We did not see any signs on way in so definitely follow map there. Signal was sporadic and not good enough to do anything. Very quiet and lots of stars at night.

Stayed here for three nights scouting my deer unit. Had the place almost to myself. Deer came right into the campground to drink from the nice little creek. East side is shadiest with some mature trees.

We stopped for one night on our way down I80. 20 mile detour off the interstate, but a nice little campground. Clean pit toilets. Some sites have fire pits and concrete picnic tables, small creek running through it. Shared the campground with two other campers.

took a 36 foot toyhauler in here. It is a ways down the gravel road. Little bit of washboard. Small creek runs through camp ground. Was greeted by a herd of deer in the morning.
