Sites 2-10 are in the trees with more shade. The sites in the 20's are newer, most of them are level. They have more sun. There are numerous hiking trails within walking distance of the campgrounds. There is a dump station and water at the gas station about 3 miles away. We had Verizon service with a booster. The cost is 8.00 with the National Park pass. The campground has numerous FCFS sites. The traffic from Hwy 33 was constant during the day and into the evening. The noise isn't as bad if you are at the back of campgrounds. We would not go back to this park because of the noise.

Trail head for biking/hiking was close by. Site had table, fire pit and bear locker

Note for Remote Workers like me: Previous reviews are deceiving on cell coverage, as you can only get coverage if you have a booster. Verizon anyway. Starlink works well though.

Saw mixed reviews on cell service. Unfortunately we had 0 Verizon. Our ATT hot spot was able to get about 3 down. I don’t remember upload speed. We had to move along unfortunately.

Nice trade sites, clean bathroom. Previous reviews say there is cell service however I am on Verizon and could not even make a phone call so be aware of that. Also, the host is pretty grouchy but the bathrooms are very clean. There is definitely some highway noise.

Traveling to the Jackson area for the first time I was looking for something I could reserve for a few nights to get a lay of the land. Mike Harris was the only thing besides national parks or a rough looking KOA. Liked the place enough that we ended up staying 2 weeks. They have added new sites that are not on the website yet. Also they will be adding running water and power in the near future. Our camp host was super nice and easy going. He also keeps the place clean. Cleanest pit toilets I have ever seen.

Pulled in around 8:30pm on a Wednesday in mid June. About ½ of the sites were available. Large sites with decent privacy, some are level, others are not at all.
Host is great. God stop close to Victor with a decent cell signal.

This campground actually has 27 improved sites, only 6 are reservable on Recreation.gov due to the fact they have not updated the website showing the recent expansion of the campground.
All sites have bear boxes, picnic tables, fire rings and steel tables for your grills to set on (DO NOT SET THEM ON THE PLASTIC COATED PICNIC TABLES!!)
There are 3 locations of Super clean double pit toilets throughout the campground, and potable water at each location. THERE ARE NO SHOWER FACILITIES
Large bundles of firewood are available for $8 from the host site.
Payment in CASH OR CHECK ONLY is required 30 minutes after you claim your site, no Venmo, credit cards or on site reservations accepted!!
Dump station is at the Sinclair gas station about 2 miles to the west, groceries in Victor or Driggs, 3 or 12 miles west respectively.
Excellent restaurants in either town.
