Overall Rating
This is a gravel lot near South Lake on the WMA. There is fishing, hunting and plenty of bird watching opportunities. There are possibly picnic tables, fire rings and trash barrels at this site or nearby, but sometimes they go missing...maybe removed seasonally.
A few miles away is a fish hatchery with flush toilets available when it's open. This is dry camping but it's generally level with graded roads once you leave the pavement. Yerington is a about 15 minutes away with shopping, gas, supplies, etc. There's even a free dump station at a rest stop just our of town. Bring bug repellent as the mosquitoes can be bad at times. Quiet, lonely place to spend a night or three.
