We found this awesome place while searching for a campground near the Greenbrier Trail. It's the perfect location to hop on the trail and is at the end of the cute little town of Marlinton. There are some great places to eat here & some cute shops too! The people were friendly and helpful. The campsites were roomy and felt private even though they were more open. We loved the full hook ups. The owner was a great communicator and was happy to accommodate us with payment and information. We will definitely be back to stay here again. It was our favorite camping trip of 2022!

Close to lots of hiking and exploring. Check out the Mountain Tavern for a very good beer and drink selection. This campground has full hookups and we had decent cell service with ATT, Visible and Mint Mobile. We would definitely stay here again.

The owner was great. Very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent for riding the Greenbrier River Trail. Town, all a very short ride away, has excellent restaurants and services. Cell service on Verizon was excellent with 2 to 3 bars and very fast. Campground is small, sites spread out and very Quiet.

Marlinton Creek and Trail Campground is a new, privately-owned, 6-site campground fanned out on a 3 acre field nestled next to the hamlet of Marlinton, West Virginia. If you are interested in hiking, biking or riding along the Greenbrier Trail and have an RV, this may be an ideal place to base your expedition.
Each site comes with full hookups (20/30/50 amps), town water and town sewer, a picnic table and a fire ring. It butts up against the lovely Knapp creek and is a few blocks from "downtown" Marlinton - an easy walk to groceries, restaurants and the local visitors' center. If camping in a tent, we recommend sites 2-4 which have some shade.
Brian the owner, is friendly and accommodating. We were the only campers for three of the four nights there as this is still a hidden gem. No OTA TV channels available, but some cell signal (T-Mobile).
Will be back when we do the Greenbrier Trail on bike again.
