Nice park. Big sites. Water and electric at most sites, dump station near the entrance. There's a free fishing pond for kids. 4 bars on Verizon, TMobile, and AT&T.

Passenger side awning may/may not be able to be opened due to the shader being so close.
Lots of space between campsites. Beautiful campground. May hear hunter’s guns in the distance from time to time. Overall an excellent Army Corp of Engineers campground, but there are better site numbers; previously stayed at Site 17 which has plenty of space for slides, awnings, etc.
See my previous review for Site 17, better site and the review has more details about the campground.

Host comes to release water at some clean out, which is fine but never introduces himself. He’s on site 40 doing his thing on speaker phone with no regard to the campers privacy.
Verizon & AT&T works great.

COE campgrounds are among my favorites. Stayed at Site 17, near the boat ramp, 4 nights during Memorial Day Weekend, 2021. Great views of the lake from the site.
Water and Electric hookups, no sewer. Dump station on site near entrance gate. Gate 'locks' Ample space between most camping sites. COE is upgrading / adding power to many of the currently non-powered camp sites. Camp sites are only a few feet above the lake, so probably don't want to stick around if a tropical storm or hurricane rolls through. Campsites have blacktop pads, surrounded by grass and trees (including the biggest Magnolia Trees I've ever seen). Site 17 was fairly level side to side, only raised driver's side ~1inch. Front to back there is a decent incline, but easy to correct for by lowering the front of the trailer.
Two weeks of rain preceding our visit flooded the hiking trails so they were not usable, keep in mind if there has been a lot of rain lately, the trails may not be accessible. As always in TX, watch out for the mosquitos and ticks, especially after rain.
The lake is a shallow water lake, the majority of the boats are shallow draft fishing boats, canoes, etc. During our stay the boat noise was very minimal.
Bathrooms included showers, usable but could be cleaner. Roads are paved and in overall good shape.

Beautiful site, right on the water! We opted for a no hookup spot since we have solar, and it worked out great. The hookup spots are extremely crowded with little privacy, where as our spot was very open with only one other spot close by. We would absolutely stay here again!

Almost every site is on the lake. The cypress trees are beautiful. Very quiet campground with wonderful camp hosts who make sure you have everything you need. Some sites are very close together. No firewood here, but fires are allowed. The owls at night are very vocal which is very neat.

Hardly anyone here in Campground, it’s Friday afternoon and nobody here. COE campground with electric 30 amp only. Some work some don’t. If you move to site that works you will be attacked, wait attacked isn’t strong enough. Short story is no refunds and now paying for 2 sites. Welcome to Texas.
