At the campground, the sign says Hunting Campsites for pay but I entered the entrance to the left of the sign and camped for free. There are 3 campsites to the right of the sign. I don't know if those are for pay camping. Beyond those is private property so I stayed away from them. Lots of flies and mosquitoes buzzing but well maintained campground. There were people visiting the lake for day use. I saw someone caught at least an 18 inch fish. They were canoeing/kayaking on the lake. I got the campground all for myself 4 out of the 6 nights I camped. No toilets or trash service. I use Mint mobile that uses T-Mobile network and I got only emergency calling service coverage. Zavalla, TX is only 14 miles away with 3 bars of 4G/LTE. Zavalla has grocery, gas, laundry, and car wash.
Fun Or Not would stay here again

It took us a minute to find the campground as there is no directions anywhere. It's at the end of CR 16. When first pulling up to camp you notice someone is living in rv. Has mailbox and everything. The camp itself is very open and you can see each and every camper. No privacy what so ever. Each campsite has a fire pit. Which I didn't like because I like to have my fire where I want as long as it's done safely. Each site also has cement picnic tables. A couple of them are falling apart and unusable. Would not go here again unless to go hunting.
