No worries. We camped with a 5th wheel and we ALWAYS put a hitch lock on whether we are dry camping or in a top end RV Resort. If someone really wants to steal your RV, they will. Best to use a little deterrence, so any potential thief moves on. You will LOVE Magnolia Beach.

No problems leaving your camper but Galveston is way more than a few hours. It’s about three hours each way.

We never unhooked from our travel trailer. We purchased everything we needed to stay for a few days to enable ability to simply stay, relax, walk the shoreline, and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. We did see others who unhooked.
