RV sites are in parking lot type set up - but we just said one night so we weren’t at our motorhome much. Tent sites are quite small. Walking distance to beach. BBQ restaurant with live music. Very clean washrooms - showers were nice but 2 were out of order (token operated $2 for 3 min). Great location and we would stay again.
camper-784696 would stay here again

“Wanted to love this place ”

We were here in November so this review absolutely doesn’t hold up for the summer months (when I’m sure this place is so packed with wall to wall rigs that you feel like you’re in your neighbors dining room) but while it’s under new ownership and they appear to be making changes to fix up the place it could still use a little more love. (New construction is nice, but if I’m going to pick up trash from a site we had better be boondocking). Overall it has the young beach bum vibe (concrete floors in the new showers, corrigated steel dividers, etc etc) but for the most part the Rv camping is a parking lot and the tent camping is the smallest sites I’ve ever seen divided with logs in a grid pattern one on top of the next. The parking lot aspect we knew before pulling in (google Satelite tells the whole story) so why we stayed here, and probably would again in the winter months:
We were basically the only ones here, so while it was just a parking lot it was our parking lot :) a lot fewer people around than the other campgrounds near by. Second, we like the option of walking to dinner when on vacation and the new BBQ place on site is super cute and really good. The beach is amazingly dog friendly (read: off leash dogs everywhere) and stunningly beautiful. That almost lets you look past flooded parking lots, trash on the ground, and worn down fences. Doing it again I’d try to stay at Bella Pacifica which is close in the winter, but on the same beach and walk over for the food.
Good cell on Canadian towers and almost workable WiFi
